Sayura Beach Hotel

The hotel is in wonderful place, room was spaces and clean, view was amazing. Staff wasn’t very interested in you but what asked did everything. For example to give water to clean room to give fresh towels. Need to ask everything what you need 😃. Breakfast was not as usually, they gave pancakes, fruits, eggs, juice. The hotel is an excellent place but nothing more here

Stopped with my Daughters for 3 nights. The staff could not be more helpful in this hotel with the perfect location. Although it was off season with a rough sea at times the area has a natural sea pool which is safe and can swim with wild sea turtles.

Good location and excellent view at the very narrow beach. We spotted two different sea turtles from our Terrasse and snorkelled with a big one (~1m long) in the shallow waters just a few hundred meters east of the hotel. It’s an older hotel that could need a bit restoration - but that goes for many things in Sri Lanka these days ;)

One of the best place at unawatuna facing nice beach wchich is a safe and beautiful place for see bathin and turtule watching. Rooms are very clean, good food and very friendly atmosphere with nice owners. Really worth the money. Hoping to go again.

A very nice hotel with beautiful and clean rooms just 5 meters away from the shoreline! We got a big room with big balcony, quiet A/C and fantastic view. Personnel is very freindly and helpful: beginning of october we were the only guets here and one evening, even if it was late and in the mid of a blackout they quickly opened up the kitchen and prepared a fantastic dinner for us. Breakfasts ware amazing, everyday the cook suprised us with new creations, he is a master of his art. Just the pool is poor, quite cold because more or less indoor, but this is not the reason qou want to stay here. In fact sust 50 meters away along the beach you have a sort of huge natural pool were we spent several days swimming together with giant sea turtle, it has been unique experience!! I strongly recommend this place!

This hotel is very well located for trips to Galle and Unawatuna. We had a great time swimming in the nearby lagoon. We watched the turtles from our room and balcony swimming very close to the hotel and also swam near them in the lagoon. There are a few restaurants and bars close by. Thank you to Nowshad for all your help and to Dammika for keeping our room spotless, great towel art and for always helping generally. I a, sure we will return one day.

We stayed here for 3 nights. For the price they ask they should offer much much more. When we arrived the bedsheets were dirty. The entire hotel looks like needs renovations. The furniture was old, smelly and dirty The breakfast is poor. The hotel is seriously under stuffed and it is basicly runned by three youngsters in their twenties which are at the same time servers, bartenders and beach boys. The beach in front of the hotel is small. Overall, poor accommodation conditions.

Stayed here for 3 nights. We booked on Priceline as unavailable elsewhere. Not cheap for what it is. Maybe 3 * but staying at other hotels only just. Very clean. Staff were lovely. It looked like all rooms had a great ocean view. The pool was enclosed so got no sun and was cold. This Hotel is on the sandy beach 50 yds from the sea. Only strong swimmers can swim right outside the hotel but 100yds to the left was a natural ocean pool. That looked really safe. The breakfast was good but beware other guests filled their plates to overflowing then didn't eat it! Very annoying! Would prefer a breakfast plate to be served then able to ask for more. But guess covid rules need to be buffet. Didn't eat dinner in as so many restaurants to try. Got a tuk tuk to the tourist street and 500 mtrs of beach restaurants and bars. Tuk tuk 500 lkr. A lot of sunbeds on the beach but some guests reserved with towels. We removed the towels and sat for 4 -5 hours the selfish guests didn't come back. Would stay here again.

1) The nicest owners you can think of, always here to help and please guests 2) The nicest staff you can think of: at the restaurant, in the kitchen, at reception, cleaning ladies and gentlemen 3) Very generous breakfast 4) Very big rooms 5) All rooms have great sea views 6) Amazing location on the beach, you can see turtles swimming from your window and you’re 5mn away by bus (bus stops in front of the hotel every 5-10mn maximum) from Unuwatuna city center / beach / tourist center 7) Very nice Sri Lankan food (I’ve not tried the Western dishes on the menu), I’ve tried the restaurants around the hotel on the beach and the food was not as nice
