From the moment we arrived, our stay was truly exceptional. What stood out immediately was the staff—every single person we encountered, from the front desk team to the housekeeping crew, was genuinely friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.
The breakfast was, without a doubt, a major highlight. It was far beyond typical hotel fare—everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and incredibly tasty. They offered a wide variety of options, including fresh fruit, inner Mongolian buuz, Mongolian milk tea and made-to-order hot dishes. It was the perfect, delicious start to every morning. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and the bed was wonderfully comfortable, ensuring we had a peaceful night's sleep. This hotel offers amazing value and service, and we can't wait to return!
A very good stay experience, the rooms in the hotel are clean, every corner of the room is clean, and the smell in the room is delicious.Very good, very good.
PPaucassoI am a young Englishman on a 20 day solo self-drive road trip across northern Heilongjian and Inner Mongolia. After my stay in Hulun Buir, I decided to drive down to Arxan for 2 nights exploring. I booked this stay based off of the other foreign guests' positive experience.
I arrived in the town late in the evening. The boss was waiting for me and was attentive and welcoming from the start.
The room is very spacious and comfortable, and the temperature was just right. Everything is provided and replaced when needed.
After hiking in the national park, I came back to the boss and his extended family making CNY preparations. Then I was invited to drink Chinese tea (Dian Hong) at their tea table. I was then welcomed to eat with the family, drink beer and eat until I was full. I was welcomed not just as a guest of theirs, but as a family friend.
In mid-winter, Aershan/Arxan is a quiet and cold place. I came as part of a long journey taking my rented 4x4 Tank 300 through the snow and ice on routes apart of the Hulun Buir Snow and Ice Festival. My journey was peaceful, solemn and isolated. The hospitality and warm welcome was exactly what I needed after my long drive alone and it is a memory I will take home to the UK with me.
I highly recommend this guesthouse, especially if you are travelling solo across this wilderness.
Thank you brother. I look forward to returning in the near future with my partner, and when my mandarin is better.
SSallyHillThis is a beautiful location, right in the mountains and with stunning views. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast is typically Chinese and you can order tasty food for dinner.
AAltanchimegThis hotel was kinda bad because when my family got in their room we smelled cigarettes smells in our room and I told the receptionist it smells like cigarettes and they finally changed our room but when my family was trying to sleep but the other room was noisy and when we got ready for breakfast the hallway smelled like cigarettes the only floor that doesn’t have cigarettes was the 10th floor

LLBT2001Fancier than the typical yurt lodging with attractive fittings inside, a private bathroom with shower and a small outdoor sitting area with two chairs. The power was off from 11 pm to 7 am - not sure that’s always the case, it may have been because of heavy rain. It wasn’t a huge deal except you couldn’t flush the toilet because it’s a fancy electronic one. The free breakfast was plentiful and you can order from an extensive menu at other times of the day. It’s across the road from Shangdu Lake, which you can see from the elevated outdoor area outside the dining yurt. It’s about 50 minutes from the Yuanshangdu (Xanadu) historic site and a six-hour drive from Beijing. Not 5-star luxury but a nice place to stay if you want to experience the grasslands.
