We got a what's app massage to confirm our arrival and had a nice welcome by the manager when we arrived. The room was perfectly clean und has a huge bed. We had a very nice dinner in the evening with good cocktails and friendly service. In the morning we had a breakfast which was included and just prepared for us because we had to got up early. Perfect start for our Namibia round trip. Totally recommended.
Today ended somewhat disappointing when we were told that only Hotel Guests may use the pool 🙈, by a “new” manager, assuming also he’s not a Namibian/local. Okay, ... I do agree that Hotel Pools are for guests only, and things can get out of hand when not controlled, but I behave myself, I enjoyed the Island Vacation feeling every time I visited the Hotel pool, I actually made sure about 2 years ago the Reception knew about what my plans were: they accepted and let me feel very welcome. We spent quite a bit on food and drinks next to the pool, regularly, and were given very good service by the very friendly staff. They made us feel welcome. Unfortunately this seemed to be my last visit to the hotel which broke our hearts, as a Manager decided it doesn’t suit! Visiting many Hotels and Guest Houses over a time period of many years, this was the most unwelcome feeling I ever felt. Well, to the staff of the Hotel Safari pool area: thanks for a very good time I had with you guys and girls, thanks for always serving us promptly and for your friendliness, the good food, the beers on hot summer days next to the pool. Thanks also to the staff at reception, all of you made us feel very welcome. Me and my family, and sometimes a friend joining us, will remember this. Unfortunately I cannot say this for the Manager whom I tried to explain this to. Is he Namibian??? He seemed quite irritated, blunt and demanding. I’ll probably never visit, nor propose the Hotel to anyone in future again: where does ons draw the line??? Competition is fierce in this low economic cycle experienced in Namibia: shouldn’t (Namibian) consumers be feeling welcome while spending buckets of money in Namibian Dollars, or are International visitors, with US$, the only focus. Other Namibian Hotels do the contrary! Even at their pool areas. Fortunately I travelled a lot and know what it is to be served and feeling welcome or at home. Therefore the reason for my low rating! The Rest is 4-5 out of 5!!!

Nice big, clean room, tasty breakfast, lovely terrace with a view. Very flexible and helpful staff (I might have been a sightly disorderly guest...) First night I arrived alone, and manager actually walked me (!) to the nearest restaurant in the evening, for me to get some food and not get lost. Felt very taken care of. :) Wishing them all the best in these times, and hoping tourism returns to Namibia a.s.a.p
