This is just a lovely place. From the rooms, the beaches, the service, the food, the landscaping: just about everything is perfect. The two of us stayed in Deluxe Pavilion 309; this had a nice view of the greenery around us from the 2nd floor large window. We preferred not to sit in the patio area on the 1st floor because of a lack of privacy. The two main beaches (Phranang and Railay) are both lovely, we preferred swimming in Phranang and walked on both of them, Phranang was about a 10 minute walk for us and Railay about a 5 minute walk. The walks through the property are just lovely, they have done a fantastic job of landscaping with all kind of tropical plants, but we also took advantage of the golf cart rides when it was raining. The breakfast (which is included) is served till 11 am and has a lot of nice a la carte and buffet style options. We didn't go the Grotto (did not look so special to us and seemed overpriced), but ate at the other two hotel restaurants: Krua Phranang and Raitalay Terrace; both were excellent (and had lovely views of the beach) and we also enjoyed the cocktails at the 4-6 pm happy hour at Raitalay Terrace. The swimming pool is lovely and also has a great veiw of Railay beach. The service at Rayavadee was just exceptional; we want to give a shout out to Joy, who was our server during breakfast, she was just fantastic. We were here during the off-season, the prices are a little lower, and while it did rain a fair amount when were here, we still got to the beach a couple of times a day. All in all, a fantastic stay, we will be back.

It was amazing and I am quite sad that there were so little other visitors. I can only recommend this museum!
The small exhibition about beads is the most visually beautiful exhibition that I have visited in my life.
I went through all the art exhibitions as well. There are local and international artists. Some is paintings are abstract other arent. It is a very nice mixture.
The entire museum is for free what is just crazy!

Exploring the storied waters of Thailand's Andaman coast brings travelers to the remarkable contours of Ko Kai, commonly known as Chicken Island, named for a rocky outcrop that uncannily resembles a chicken's head and neck. This small island, part of the Poda group of islands, offers not just a whimsical landmark but also an escape into the region's natural grandeur.
Ko Kai stands as a sentinel in the sea, its craggy silhouette a beacon for those who seek the unique interplay of sea, sky, and stone. The island's avian-inspired monolith is a geological tapestry, millions of years in the making, now posing for the quintessential snapshot that has become a symbol of the area's rugged beauty.
The island's beaches are slices of tropical bliss, with crystal-clear waters hugging the shores. Snorkeling here is an immersion into an underwater carnival, with vibrant coral reefs teeming with a kaleidoscope of marine life. The island's aquatic environment is a microcosm of the Andaman's biodiversity, showcasing an array of fish that dart through the water like living jewels.
Beyond the allure of its famous rock formation, Ko Kai is a testament to the serenity of Thailand's lesser-known isles. It's a place where one can bask in the warmth of the sun, on sands that whisper tales of the sea's perpetual motion, and gaze upon waters that stretch to the horizon, unbroken and free.
The visit to Ko Kai is more than a mere stop on a tourist trail; it's a journey into the heart of nature's artistry. As the day yields to the golden hour, the setting sun casts a glow on the Chicken's silhouette, transforming the island into a silhouette of storybook perfection.
For those who anchor on its shores, Chicken Island remains a highlight, a piece of Thailand's coastal majesty, offering a moment of awe, a memory that resonates with the soulful touch of nature's hand.
