WOW, a heritage experience in opulence and warm Indian hospitality. Fantastic location offering breathtaking veiws of the lake Pichola and Aravalli hills. The proximity to City Palace, Ganghour Ghat, Rameshwar and the marktes add to the attraction of the property. The palace is filled with royal charm, rich interiors, vintage chandeliers, ornate furniture and historical artifacts. Each suit is lavishly designed and it was shared that no two suits are similar. The sunset boat ride to jag mandir and the daily sandhya arti on the banks of the lake elevate the experience. The local delicacies offered at Sunset Terrace Restuarant (with a lake view) are worth trying. During our stay, they even offered the ”kheer” for sharath purnima which is an age old tradition followed by many families in north India, and their rose kheer is a must try. The staff's hospitality goes above and beyond - Kishan Dangi, Surendra, Preeti - specifically took good care of us. We celebrated a birthday also for which the room was decorated and complimentary cake served.
Amazing heritage walk by Suresh. An absolute must if you are staying at the hotel. Learnt all about the rich heritage and history of not just the palace but Udaipur too. The best guided tour, conducted in a lovely manner. Highly recommend doing it
