We were staying nearby and went for a meal in the evening. We all quite like authentic Italian. Service and ambience was good. However the “specialty “ food was tasteless and poor. The calamari starter was soggy and lacked flavour. The main course of chicken breast with ham consisted of a thin tasteless chicken with no flavour on a bed of mashed potato with a side of cannellini beans. Beige food with absolutely no flavour. £22 !!! As a regular visitor to Italy certainly the worst meal I’ve had. We’ve dined in Aberaeron at The Hive, Y Selar and The Stubborn Duckling and had excellent meals in the same price range. I’m afraid you need to improve your kitchen to make our party of eight ever grace your premises again.

We had a great stay with Stefano and Brid, the evening food was excellent, and so was the breakfast. All of us commented on how well we slept at the hotel, comfortable beds and quiet. This was a business trip and the hotel is ideally located if you are working at Volac.

We were met with a friendly welcome and were very grateful to be allowed to dine with our family dog. We sat in the cozy bar area in lovely surroundings with an open fire. The food and wine was delicious and all the staff were chatty and attentive. A little gem in the centre of a lovely little town. Would definitely recommend the restaurant and we would love to stay in the hotel if we come to this area again.

We had arranged a get together for a few friends and family in The Feathers after the death of my Mother. The staff were exceptional, accommodating and welcoming from the start. A few of us had travelled a fair distance, and arrived early, The Feathers opened the doors for us, let us into our rooms early, welcomed us in, and nothing was too much trouble for them They made a fairly solemn occasion into a lovely memory, I would recommend them to anyone. The food was immaculate all day, from the high-tea for the afternoon guests, to the traditional Italian food for the party of 8 in the evening. Exceptional service ,and beautifully presented. The rooms were spotless, comfortable and very well priced, breakfast was great, and set us all on our way home feeling happy and refreshed. Thanks to all the team there for a wonderful weekend.

Our stay at the Feathers Royal Hotel and Aberaeron was a real treat, not to be missed. Fantastic service from all the staff and the room was everything we could have hoped for. We can't wait for a return visit!

We booked Feathers Royal Hotel as a stop over for one night whilst visiting Aberaeron, along with some other friends travelling with us. The Hotel has its own private car park to the rear with security cameras in situ. Externally the Hotel has recently been re-painted so it looks clean and fresh. On arrival we were assisted by the duty manager who gave us a friendly welcome. The bar / lounge / restaurant areas as you enter the hotel have also recently been refurbished so downstairs there's a fresh vibrant feel to the place and there was a cosy log fire lit to add to the atmosphere. Our en-suite room was very clean and tidy and the bed very comfortable although the upstairs lacks the same finesse in terms of decor as the downstairs. The carpets are a bit tired in the rooms and halls as is the wallpaper, although I understand this is work in progress. Later in the evening, we met the owner Stefano - a friendly and cheerful man, who explained that he had recently purchased and re-opened the hotel in the last few years having bought it during Covid and moved from Tuscany with his wife. The hotel had apparently been shut for three years prior to his taking it over so it's great to see it being brought back to life. Having booked through a third party booking agent we were unaware that Stefano and his wife have opened there own Italian restaurant within the facility serving authentic Italian cuisine. Unfortunately we ate out as we had pre-booked another eatery prior to arrival so didn't get to sample the menu on this occasion. The cooked breakfast was very nice with generous portions. All in all we had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay and would be happy to return in the future.

We received a warm welcome from Stefano and his manager Yan who looked after us throughout our stay. The rooms were well equipped and very comfortable. Breakfast was a treat. We plan to visit again and experience the authentic Osteria Italian restaurant. Thank you.

Highly recommended. A gorgeously warm hotel, friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant serves authentic and delicious freshly cooked Italian food. Clean and comfortable rooms full of character. Excellent value for money and free parking!
