I had a three days stay at Kwarleyz with friends, the view is wonderful not so far from the airport and it’s well centered in the heart of Accra. A sweet lady from the spa kept calling to schedule a spa treatment, she said I would feel very relaxed after a good massage session and let me say, I feel amazing, the therapist has this smooth hands, it heals every pain in my body. Thank you Annabel for recommending and yes I don’t regret.
The hotel is in a lovely location although the beach it overlooks is a local, working beach so not really for sitting on. However, the African village has seats overlooking the sea. The staff were generally fine and tried to be helpful. The rooms are not well maintained. The first room we were in flooded due to a faulty shower and the second room had a faulty safe, fridge and hairdryer. The air conditioning was good. The patio doors couldn't be opened so the only access to the patio was a steep walk round the back of the building. The room was reasonable clean but not immaculate. The main issue we had was food which is priced around the same as the UK but leaves a lot to be desired. The best thing was the breakfast buffet which was fine but nothing special. Be careful if you are allergic or averse to shrimps. They seem to include shrimp paste in most dishes although this isn't mentioned on the menu. The chicken kebabs I ordered tasted distinctly fishy so I asked why only to be told about the shrimp content. The guinea fowl has the same marinade and there is shrimp in the sauce that accompanies the very tasteless and dry vegetarian rice! Drinks are ok but overpriced for Ghana. The food and drinks at 5 star Labadi Beach hotel nearby are much nicer and much more affordable. It's a real pity as the location is lovely and they have an excellent Hi life band playing at the weekend.
This is the second time Lodging in this hotel, I had a great experience on the first but not that great on the second. I think they need some maintenance
SSimon MThis is a really nice little hotel, well located. The room I had was a lovely suite with effective air conditioning to counter the humidity and plenty of space. a couple of small oddities such as no plus on the kitchen surface which means the kettle or coffee machine needs to be put on the floor to use them and the smoking area right outside the door but otherwise I was really happy with it and also found the small restaurant perfectly sufficient. Only when checking out did it all go wrong, the day prior to checking out I had requested an airport transfer and the lady at reception had confirmed this was booked and had written it down. I had once again asked the lady behind the counter on the check out day to confirm it was booked and she confirmed it was. I was therefore rather surprised, as I waited outside the reception with my case, ready to be picked up, for the porter to come out and ask whether i would prefer top wait an hour, which I did not. he went inside, returning after a few minutes and said there was no car available. I went inside and explained once again that i had booked a transfer and had it confirmed. Another lady appeared and said no booking had been made and perhaps I should get an uber. Eventually the porter was asked to drive me to the airport once I had lost my patience. This evident mess up could easily have been rectified by a simple apology and what transpired to be the eventual solution but no such apology came, indeed the attitude was disdainful and rude. Because of this I only give it two stars and won’t return, a little bit of customer service goes a long way.
ゲゲストIt’s always a pleasure staying at Embassy Gardens. One of the best places to stay in Accra without question. Easy access to Accra central and great amenities nearby. The complex also has a pool and a gym that you and use. Staff are also friendly.
Clemence at Hill View Hotel was very hospitable. I don't like onions and never eat them. He was kind enough to remove them from the delicious food that they serve at Hill View. I found the room to be extremely clean, though a bit damp. The staff was very polite and accommodating. I truly enjoyed my stay.
Firstly from the reception, the person I met there was having a straight face with straight forward answers where I’ll have to even ask for the second time to hear him well! The room was moderate as standard double…the washroom had a weird smell but their phone worked well The kitchen staff..! They weren’t welcoming at all🌝💔…strict behaviors as though we are begging for food (breakfast)! The air condition worked well but it had a disturbing sound I didn’t like 💔maybe it was just that particular room I had..I wish I can add video so that you’ll hear the sound🤔(room 108) The parking lot was huge and good security ❤️
