Hotel Gergana - Ultra All Inclusive

Hotel has unique location, on the beach and thick forest of “Baltata” nature reserve, famous, charming river with unique plants and rear animals that can be observed from the lobby with a cocktail in the afternoon..;)).. You can hear only the waves and the animals, no public traffic allowed to enter to the hotel. Cleaning and mini bar has fixed daily, sheets changed regularly. Direct access to the beach and several pools, dedicated for different age kids and adults. There was always wide variety of Bulgarian food specialties, extreme choice of salads and fantastic local products to choose from. Every evening the “chef cook” were able to surprise us personally with new and interesting dishes. We are family with 2 kids with nuts allergy, we were informed every time what is the content of the dishes and have not singe problem with it. Big variety of food without gluten as well. Paradise for vegetarians and meet lovers. Fantastic BBQ of local fish, meat and even some “game meet”. All food drinks and ice cream were included ;)) Very friendly service people all over, looking for your best comfort and accommodation! This is the second time we stayed in this hotel, and we are still very happy with it. In the front, you have the beautiful Black sea, in the back a (protected) nature reserve, which makes a perfect combination. We even spotted a beaver rat, near the entrance of the hotel, who seems to be used to tourists. Food : so much choice and different dished all the time ! Beware if you want to loose weight :-) Take this from a very difficult eater Drinks : numerous cocktails, even the sparkling wine is included in the all-in, so is the mini bar in the room (restocked every day). Accomodation : the double bed is so large you can loose your spouse in there :-) Special thanks to the animation team. On the first day, they came around asking if I wanted to participate in an aerobics session. When I explained I cannot do that anymore due to (old age) joint and back problems, but I can still do zumba (hint hint), as of the next day, on the program : zumba. And I got my zumba avg. every other day Some little negatives : the bathroom is rather narrow (but the shower is a walk-in so no problem there) and it could use a little shelf above the sink, where you can put your toiletries. The rest of the resort was very quiet because it was end of season but I guess that is more lively in june-july-august All in all : great place for a Holiday. Staff is always friendly and helpful. They all speak English and German

I had the absolute pleasure of staying at this hotel for 10 nights, all the staff were amazing and couldn’t be more helpful. The food had something for everyone’s taste and was different every day. The resort was always clean and the free shuttle service around the town was every 30 minutes which was always on time. I was there on my honeymoon and they decorated our room with rose petals and fresh fruit and a bottle of bubbly. The reception staff were always so happy and can’t wait to go back next September.

We appreciated the cleaning and services provided by very welcoming personnel. Also, the weather, the forest, batata and view were perfect for relaxing on a trip. Services provided were very good. I recommend!

First the good: People are great, very friendly. Spoke multiple languages. The electric car that takes you into the reserve area is actually quite forward thinking despite not being able to take a car all the way to the hotel. Food is amazing. Lots of viriety. Mussels from the local farm were particularly good. Kids activities and nightly entertainment. Huge beach. Free towels and sunbeds. Can collect some beautiful shells. Nice bar selection for ultra all inclusive  with frappe and some cocktails included. There is a small train that for 5 leva takes you to the center till about 11pm. Town offers lots of activities such as an escalator to the hills, dino park, aqua park, horse riding, tennis, football etc etc. Only about 30 min from Varna airport. Now the bad: Cockroaches and mold in the bathroom! Honestly some bleach and pest control would do wonders for the place. The wasps in the restaurant terrace weren't particularly appreciated either. Kebabcheta and kiofteta were undercooked one night and two of our group had stomach problems(otherwise food was really good). Weren't allowed to swim in the sea for most of the trip as very heavy waves. Granted this is not the hotel's fault and the lifeguards really did keep a good eye on people. You did have the option to swim in the 'mineral water ' pool but that was always colder that the sea water somehow. The first two rows of sunbeds were paid and the German grandmas mostly visiting this hotel would keep trying to get them for free resulting in some passive aggressive behaviour from one staff member. Over all the hotel reminder us of a German Benidorm. Old ppl and very young families with babies only.

My family and I spent the last 10 years having hollidays in Bulgaria. Many of them were great. We had a few "hickups" but overall we were pleased. I must say now about the greatest experience ever. It's called GERGANA! Great location, even greater people, although an old building, very well mentained and cared about almost all essential details. We arrived around 10 am and in less than half a hour we received the rooms keys. Not as big as in other hotels, but very clean and tidy. By the way, the lady that cleaned our rooms is a high quality asset for the hotel. We had forest/park view and was perfect. Except, maybe a few "MIGs" with sharp noses 😜, but nothing that can't be handled. Now, about the restaurant. More than enough food, a lot of options even for the one's that said they had nothing to eat. That's a lie! Every day different dishes, form pork to rabbit, shells, shrimp's or grilled meat every evening. So, all good. The animation program, on the other hand, was not that great, although the team did the best they could. Even so, the mini disco was nice for my boy, and for the rest of us the evenings were ok. We had AI+ witch means that almost every drink on hotel bars were free of charge. The bartender's know what they're doing, and offer us real good cocktails and other drinks as well. Also, between main meals, more than enough options such pizza, ice-cream and a lot of other choices. As a conclusion, best wishes to all Gergana staff, from manager to the last employee. We make sure that we'll return next year!

Nice hotel, some things can be improved, like kids safety on the pool playground, Expensive and restrictive parking Policy and prices, especially for disabled persons. Shuttle service is rare .

Again we had perfect vacation in Gergana,Albena. Location is in the park between the see and the river no cars allowed and its so spacious for playing toddler. Food is always fresh and tasty. Next summer again :)

The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. The rooms were clean and tidy. The beach was clean and organized. The food was very good and very varied. Each night there was a different kind of food (ranging from grilled vegetables to fresh fish) being made on a charcoal barbecue outside the restaurant premise. The evening shows were nice as well. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to enjoy good times in Bulgaria.
