エルダデ ダ マルャディーニャ ノヴァ - ルレ & シャトー(Herdade da Malhadinha Nova - Relais & Chateaux)

We were a party of six and booked the wine tour and tasting with some tapas on a Saturday afternoon. Our expectations were high having seen the hotel reviews and the price of the wines Malhadinha offer. We arrived a little early and were asked to wait because two others would be joining us but they were still having lunch. 15 minutes after the start time, they still hadn't shown up so we started the tour of the facilities. Our guide was friendly and the site was quite impressive but he seemed a bit in a hurry. When we got to the wine tasting there were 4 wines - we have been to many wine tastings in Portugal and elsewhere and the amount of wine offered was very small. Also, the whole process felt very rushed - after starting 15 minutes late, we finished 15 minutes early! Perhaps our host wanted to get away on a Saturday afternoon. Overall not a good experience which has put us off trying the restaurant especially if any wine pairings are handled in the same way as the tasting. In contrast, the wine tasting at nearby Herdade dos Grous was a fantastic experience.

It’s a different kind of hotel. With several houses spread in a large property. Each house has several rooms and its own kitchen and pool. Rooms are big and modern decorated but not high quality. The experience of each kitchen will depend where you land. In general the staff (mostly Brazilian) look underpaid and under qualified and while very driven to service, they can do so much as they can. Food is ok but park your dreams as portions are small and quality very comercial. In general I think the property is overprice and while is full of great ideas the management clearly fails in delivering on the complexity and dreams that they have set themselves with. Perhaps they should focus of getting the basics good before setting higher aims. Not VALUE for money at all

I absolutely loved this hotel. It is extreme luxury without pretentiousness. The hotel is on a beautiful, secluded property. The staff were so friendly and helpful. There are many activities to do on the property, we did not leave at all for the 2 days we were there! I cannot wait to stay here again

One of the best hotels I have stayed in. Truly a beautiful place with some fantastic wines!

this has to be one of the best resorts in the world! it is very small , some 25 rooms and run by the family who live there. They started off establishing a vineyard and then slowly converted the local derelict barns and farm buildings in to rooms . each furnished with stunning taste and personal touch . The activities offered reflect their own interests : Horse riding , an ubcle is a top dressage award winner , Pottery , the Mother is an expert and has made much of the ceramics used there, wine making - all the family ! there are at least 3 places to eat at and you feel like you are at a private weekend away as a guest of the family , Each building has a private pool and its own style . you are given a golf buggy to get around. it is a little remote so you feel like you are in a very special place....

We stayed at Herdade da Malhadinha Nova for two lovely nights. Upon arrival, we were kindly greeted by Jorje (who later gave us an enthusiastic, educational, and fun wine tour of the property) with a glass of white wine. We were then upgraded to a Casa das Pedras Suite. The suite was perfectly appointed and yielded wonderful views of the property. The staff is kind and accommodating. Dinner each night was delightful. We paired our meals with the wine choices made by the sommelier, who was on site. It was a wonderful dining experience! The property is vast. It is peaceful and provided us the tranquility in which we were seeking.

Relaxed elegance. Superb food and wine. Committed staff who all ensure a top notch guest experience. A fascinating story behind this relatively new family run vineyard. Peaceful surroundings and delightful accommodation. We had the most perfect stay.

We did not stay at this property but just had lunch on our way from Evora to Albufeira. It was amazing and delicious! The atmosphere of the dining area was beautiful. We all agreed that they served the most amazing butter that any of us have ever tasted. All the food and wine were delicious and the staff was attentive.

One of the most amazing places we have stayed. Service was exceptional from our arrival, during our stay and check out. The staff are amazing. Dinner perfect. My wife and I highly rate a stay here and enjoy the luxury accommodation and location within the winery.
