The layout of the resort is unusual. Apartment/villas are laid out around a large area, which can be driven around and there is loads of free parking outside each accommodation type. The reception area has a bar and restaurant included within it, which is a separate building to accommodation. The buildings are all painted in various pastel type colours making a very pretty resort. If you had one of the apartments at the far end of the resort, it’s still less than 10 mins walk to reception/restaurant/bar. We had an apartment with 2 double bedrooms and there was also a double sofa bed in the lounge, though we didn’t use that. The apartment was very spacious, clean and modern. It was cleaned daily, beds made daily and towels changed daily if needed. In the kitchen there was a large fridge freezer, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, lots of cutlery, knives etc. A nice touch would’ve been some washing up liquid. We didn’t make much use of the kitchen other than making some drinks as we were all inclusive. There was an en-suite bathroom and a separate main bathroom. However, there was only 1 hairdryer, which not ideally was in the main bathroom. So if there were 6 of you getting ready and several of you need a hairdryer, there could be a wait while you wait for people to finish in the bathroom. There was lots of hanging space in the main bedroom, only half the amount in the second bedroom as one half of the wardrobe was locked (possibly used for storage). There was no chest of drawers or dressing table in either bedroom, so there was no real surface space to put anything down on in the bedrooms. There were bedside tables, but they were small and low (basically one drawer with no legs). A silly point, but I really missed not having something to put things down on easily! Beds were comfortable. The main bedroom and lounge opened onto a patio area with a sun loungers and table and chairs. We went in March which was out of season. The all inclusive did get busy at times. I can’t imagine how it would cope in full season when at full capacity. Although we always found something to eat and never went hungry, I think that with such a well equipped kitchen in the apartment, if I went back to the resort, I’d go self catering. You certainly won’t be missing much with the all inclusive drinks. They were ok, but the cocktails were disappointing. The pool area looked nice, but we never used it as it wasn’t really hot enough when we were there. The pool bar was also closed when we were there. All the staff we came across were friendly and happy to help. Luckily we’d booked a hire car for the duration of our stay, which was we picked up in Albufeira. It’s only about €4 for their equivalent of an Uber into Albufeira. It would be quite a bit of a walk all along very busy roads, so could be a walked, but not the nicest walk and very busy roads. The resort is a bit outside of the main part of Albufeira, so if we hadn’t had a car, we’d have had to use

Wonderful Resort we have visited 4 times and gets better each year. Perfect for families with young children, the villas are very clean and spacious, food always beautiful and the snack bar is handy for the kids. The pools are perfect for our family and the kids area/pools keep our children busy. The staff make this place amazing, Victoria in Reservations always a pleasure to deal with when booking, the reception staff always so friendly, the restaurant/bar staff always so busy and work very hard and nothing is ever a problem and a big thank you to Vanessa and Cintia in the Entertainment/Kids club they make Eden a real fun place and our children adore them not forgetting Eddie the Turtle. Edan resort was lovely. Very suitable for young family. Staff were very friendly and hard-working. Our lodge was very good, very clean and modern, excellent showers. Entertainment was good, magician was brilliant.. food was great with lots of variety. Bus to town was great. It is absolutely perfect for young families.. would not advise for couples, its geared to family's..

We returned last week from Eden resort and I feel I should pass on my experience so it can help others decide if it's the right destination for them. I stayed with my wife and three kids (8, 6 and 4) for just under 8 days in one of the apartments and were on the all-inclusive package. My first impressions of the apartment was that it was very clean, however, there were signs of wear and tear everywhere. The fold out couch-bed was broken and was a struggle to convert. We ended up putting our three kids sideways in two beds pushed together which worked fine. Almost every door and cupboard was chipped and/or missing parts of the laminate from years of use. I imagine this is consistent across all apartments and a major refurbishment would be required to fix this issue. Another slight issue was our towels were replaced on a daily basis, despite us hanging them up after use and not leaving them on the floor for replacement as per the instructions. This is very bad for the environment and we would have been happy replacing our towels only once or twice during our stay rather than every day. I need to say that the best thing about the trip was the staff. They were all amazing, from the bar and cafe staff, to the reception team and especially the entertainment team. Our kids went to the Kids Club most days and the team there were amazing and remembered our children's names. Also Mauro who provided pool side entertainment is great at his job and has the special ability to have fun with both the adults and kids. A major disappointment for me, and something I needed to put up with so it didn't ruin my holiday was the music at the main pool. Each day a large speaker is wheeled out to the poolside and loud music is pumped out until 6pm that evening. I get that an atmosphere is trying to be created but it was a very unpleasant one. I went so far as to ask the lifeguard if it could be turned down on one of the days there was only 1 other family by the pool (it was a cloudy day) but I don't think he understood my request so I left it. In the end, if I wanted to relax by the pool and read a book I would have my wife mind the kids and go sit at the adult pool which was thankfully a lot quieter. The week we went wasn't too busy but still the restaurant and pool were packed at peak times so it lead me to wonder how uncomfortably busy this place must get during peak season. I found it quite annoying how a lot of times there would be few people at the main pool but most of the seats would be reserved with towels, presumably by people who were off doing other activities. This practice should not be allowed (I know there's a 30-minute limit but I didn't see it enforced - who would be timing it anyway?) Lastly the food was a little underwhelming. It seems like the overall experience is tailored towards mainly British and Irish families (as they seem to have made up 90% of the people I saw on my visit) so that explains the music and food. What a beautiful resort, we have just returned from a week spent here. It is absolutely amazing for children. Entertainment team is fantastic, there is so much for babies/children to do. The food was beautiful, so much choice with plenty of snacks available around the pool also. The resort is so clean and beautiful. The staff are so kind, welcoming and friendly - we will really miss them. We are already looking to book back for next year. Highly recommend.

Overall a brilliant hotel, food service staff all very nice and location perfect. The one gripe we would have had was the facilities in the play part could have been better. No swings or slides for kids. But pool very good etc

Spotlessly clean beautiful apartment with 2 bathrooms spacious living space, 2 large bedrooms and a very nice kitchen area. Superb setting. Only slight gripe is as the nights were quite chilly so we did not want to sit outside the bar area could be bigger although i accept that this would not be a problem once the Algarve summer comes. Would highly recommend this for families with small children
