This a truly wonderful place. Rooms are spacious and beautiful. Staff very friendly and helpful. Amenities great! Highly recommended.

I think this place is quite far from been a 5 star W service. The cleaning arrived around 6 pm and also we had a bad situation with the room cards (it stoped working on the 3rd night). On the other hand the room by itself was spectacular, big and bright. F&B service was good as well. To conclude - do not expect perfect work on reception but at least you can enjoy friendly restaurant staff.

The W Algarve is a spectacular property with the most wonderful, accomodating, attentive, personal and wonderful staff we've ever encountered. We spent our 25th anniversary at the property and had the most unbelievable experience. The staff it this hotel is quite simply the best we've encountered in the many trips we've taken. The attention to detail and the effort they put into making you feel special and cared for is remarkable. Yohann and his team at the Whatever/Whenever desk are true specialists in hospitality and the property itself is beautifully situated looking over the sea. It's a tranquil yet vibrant hotel and they will do everything in their power to make your stay, the stay of a lifetime. We highly, highly recommend you stay at the W Algarve when you are in the region.

If you are visiting the Algarve Coast on your trip to Portugal, you simply MUST stay at this incredible hotel. From the gorgeous grounds, lobby and lounge to the well appointed incredibly comfortable luxurious rooms that face the sunsets you will NOT be disappointed! The pool, beach, fountain light show, and restaurants are all amazing! Marco and Jose at the front desk helped us with everything we could possibly need and gave great tourist advise about how to enjoy Algarve best. John in the Market restaurant was incredible and told us of a "secret" beach that we loved going on a hike to find. It was so very beautiful. The food and service throughout our stay was the best we have EVER received. They made us feel at home and we hated to leave. Thank you to everyone there for your amazing hospitality!

The welcome and attentiveness of the staff make this hotel a superb one. The hotel itself is located in a beautiful area. The public areas of the hotel are impeccably kept. From the hotel, there is direct access to the beach. We had breakfast included and dined in-house a couple of times, on all occasions, service and food quality was top-notch. You can go around the Albufeira area easily from the hotel, we used a private car and reached out to all recommended destinations. We will definitely visit again as we were made very welcome.

Beautiful hotel and the rooms are very comfy as well as clean. A bit far removed from the restaurants and bars as well as markets if you want to snack. However, the property is gorgeous and clean and there’s a path down to the beach. The pool and landscape is beautiful as well. The Market restaurant is good and I was not thrilled with the other restaurant, Paper Moon. The hotel is about a 10 minute drive to Old Town and while it’s nice to be away from all that noise, it’s inconvenient to be so far from choices of restaurants and bars. But again hotel service and amenities are wonderful.

I love the Algarve and it's probably my 5th stay in the area.... I was traveling with my family and we normally stay at the Pine cliffs. This time around we chose the W Residences since the interiors seemed more luxurious. As usual I had just booked the stay through the Bonvoy app, I expected that since it was through the app I would get all my usual benefits as a Marriott Ambassador. On my arrival I was shocked to be informed that I will; not get my nights stayed credited. This was a huge shock as you try to be loyal to maintain your 100 nights a year requirement. So I made my disappointment very clear and I felt I was being shortchanged. Then walked in Ana the front desk supervisor. She tried to pacify me and help me get along. I was very irritated, and I wanted out. But she said let me get back to you. Once we had settled in, she called me and suggested a work around... She said tonight you stay where you are and tomorrow we will move you to the main hotel, we have a 2 bedroom and we will; connect a single to it so you have your 3 bedrooms. The views are better and this will ensure you get your nights stayed credited. This was a big relief and this was someone going out of the way to ensure that I enjoy my stay. Customer service like this must be appreciated, the old saying of the customer is always right, this is hard to find in today's day. But here it is in the Algarve.... Then there is Pedro who helped me with my bags, Stephen at whatever and whenever the help desk, Miguel at the Valet and so many more. Each person wanted to ensure you had a good holiday and served you with a smile. The room service was great, the housekeeping was excellent and even when the Netflix was not connecting to the TV they sent someone in the middle of the night to fix the problem. Service is always with a smile and nothing is difficult... The rooms were spacious and comfortable. We had wonderful seaviews and enjoyed a few pretty sunsets. They have a lovely spa and a good pool, it was too cold so we did not use it. Plenty of spaces for your clothes and accessories. There is a private walkway that leads down to the beach. They have good parking available for the car. I know I will be back and I look forward to better weather next time. We had an ok stay. It’s a new facility, so certain areas further away from the main hotel are under construction. The room was clean and the hotel accommodated certain needs, which was greatly appreciated. The staff is very pleasant, but came across at times as overly enthusiastic. There is a fine line between too much and too little, but they are trying, so we’ll give them credit for that. The food was not very good and very expensive. The drinks were good and they too were very pricey. The background music was loudly piped everywhere throughout the facilities and grounds, even on the path going towards the beach. The pool fountains are going all day - starting precisely at 9 am and stopping at 11 pm , but the noise is annoying after the first 30 minutes. Overall, the effect is not at all relaxing. Maybe it‘s the W brand image in general, but the feeling of the entire hotel comes across as the Marriott Corporation trying really hard to be cool and funky (such as, the computer area called “WIRED”, the pool named ‘WET,” the bathroom floor rug identified as “STEP,” and the hair dryer labeled as “BLOW-OUT.”) They somehow miss the mark and strike me as “GOOFY.” Not to overly criticize the W Algarve, but it was not for me. The hotel would merit a rating of 4 if the quality of the food was better.
