アルボラン アルヘシラス(Alborán Algeciras)

The hotel was fine overall and the staff excellent. The breakfast selection was poor. No cooked eggs and a poor range of hot food. Sausages were very processed and awful. Fruit was very limited

This is a lovely hotel…. Sp pretty with columns and alcoves. For the first night I booked dinner B&B….. the food was delicious! Dinner was 5 courses but included the best Broccoli au Gratin I ever tasted and included a glass of red wine. I expected the wine to be tough but it was actually very good! I did not try the open air swimming pool but in this heat it was an option … nearby beach was crowded and with fascinating container port nearby I found it hard to believe the water was bathing quality! 8€ taxi ride from bus station. Staff were unfailingly helpful and courteous. Next time I will ask for a room with a mountain-view. I stayed a second night … trip charged me a higher price? I also took their Day Excursion to Morocco…€72 but add on €40 for tips! It included return ferry, transport, guide and Moroccan lunch ( delicious) … driver, his friend, guide and me on a 32 seater bus! Obligatory “buy a carpet” talk at “craft school” ( Omg I bought a carpet!) … hold out for the trinkets shop on the way out!!! 4 hours to get back through customs … queues…. But it was fascinating v and an unexpected glimpse into border mentality. 4 layers … Moroccan military check, Moroccan police check, Spanish police check and Covid certificate check and final layer …. Spanish guards emptying and checking every car and finding something to throw away from everyone!!!! Two days feels like a wonderful week!

A very warm welcome on arrival. Room was clean and comfortable (once I’d turned the heating down from 28C!). Breakfast was ok although on the first morning the hot food was barely luke warm. I was early the second morning and it was hot then. Bar was excellent and staff very friendly. Pizzas are good too. Location is a way out of town but I don’t mind walking and there seemed to be plenty of buses with stops outside the hotel. I’d definitely stay again if I return to Algeciras.

The staff were so lovely, especially one particular lady on reception. The food is lively and so varied from A lacarte to snacks in the cafeteria. The room was clean and rended to daily. The only thing that could be slightly better is the buffet breakfast. There's plenty to choose from, and it's all lovely. However, the pastries were not covered. When I took one, a load of fruit flues flew up. Everything was so simple and the staffs English was sooooo much better than my Spanish.

Excelente atención de todo el personal del hotel. Desde la recepción, el personal de limpieza y las personas de la cafetería. Su zona de piscina es muy bonita y cómoda. Las habitaciónes son muy amplias

Hotel muy limpio y bonito, personal amable, buen servicio, buena comida, buen ambiente. Muy recomendable. La cena de San Valentín, con su posterior baile, animadisimo. Ah, y la cantante, el músico y el DJ, fantásticos.

Wonderful stay Peaceful sleep Rooms are overlooking the road or the pool. Good pool, cafe, gymnasium. Food was good in all meals . 20 mins walk to the beach if you are interested. Rooms are clean and nice Staff is amazing. Had a great interaction with Maria at the front desk.

Ci siamo stati a mangiare (il ristorante e il bar dell'hotel sono aperti a tutti, non solo ai clienti che pernottano). Ci è piaciuto ma il servizio manca un po' di professionalità per un posto che ambisce ad essere un punto d'incontro internazionale.

Acudimos desde hace varios años a la celebración de fin de año, con cena, cotillón y estancia, además de quedarnos al almuerzo del 1 de enero. La celebración, el trato, la calidad de los menús de cena y de almuerzo, la barra libre, la animación del cotillón, ... todo espectacular, y aun así se mejoran año tras año. Mis felicitaciones por todo ello.
