オテル ヴィクトル ユーゴー(Hotel Victor Hugo)

The beds are comfortable, the rooms are small but fine for a few nights. Parking is on the street wherever you can find it. The location is perfect (near to some excellent restaurants over the river bridge and next to the Cathedral). Breakfast is very basic, but is ok. I last stayed here 25 years ago when it was a bit fresher and more of a family-run pride aspect that added those special touches (now lost over time and ownership changes perhaps). I would stay here again with friends when doing battlefield tours.

We were disappointed the Hotel was unmanned when we arrived early morning meaning we had to lug our luggage around until 5pm over cobbled streets, in the heat of the day, as there was nowhere to store our luggage. However, the Hotel was comfortable despite no air-conditioning. The Hotel is in a convenient location for walking to the Notre Dame Cathedral, eateries and old town by the river. Breakfast was basic but gave us a good start to the day. Initially there was a language barrier as the service team do not speak English but we overcame this by using sign language and kept communication short and precise. Stairs are narrow and steep because the Hotel is very old. It could do with a little maintenance. We didn't let this ruin our stay.

Check in arrangements are a little awkward when travelling long distances. Room was clean. Location excellent. Parking a challenge

Cosy, comfortable and a stones throw from the magnificent cathedral. Check in was fast and pain free.

The room was dirty and noisy. The bedsheets were stained and covered in dog hair. There was a barking dog in the room next to us and it’s kept us up all night.

The two guys we encountered at the hotel recommended some places in Amien for dinner. They were super helpful. The hotel is located in a quiet spot. The parking is just down the road. You can walk into the town centre and to the river. Perfect location, in the centre of the town, comfortable room. Would definitely go back there when in Amien.

A characterful and conveniently located hotel, a very few yards from the Cathedral. Excellent value for no frills basic accommodation. Excellent service from the staff and good value basic breakfast. (No lift & narrow stairs, so possible difficulty for the disabled)

The area is actually somewhat noisy at night with cars and young people on the streets. Wifi was erratic, and hotel room walls are very thin. Otherwise it’s a well kept and well run small hotel with friendly staff. Very clean!

Charmant petit hôtel très proche de la cathédrale. Les escaliers sont un peu difficile surtout avec la valise. La literie grinçait un peu. Le personnel est très agréable et de bons conseils.
