ホテル マレナ(Hotel Marena)

First hotel after arriving late in the evening at the Vesterålen. (Group tour 10 pax). We were warmly welcomed and had a lovely room. A double bed with a good mattress, shower with good water pressure and very quiet at night. We slept very well. Breakfast in the morning was adequate and had a good selection to start your day. Hotel is in walking distance (10 min.) to the Whale excursion boat and adjacent to the hotel there is a supermarket. Can recommend this hotel for your stay at the Vesterålen.

We had this hotel booked by a travel agency as part of a road trip. The other hotels so far were in all respects good or very good. All the more reason for us to be unpleasantly surprised by Marena. Our room seemed a collection of leftovers from a furniture second hand store out of the 1960’s. Not only were almost all items of poor quality, they also looked worn out and badly fitting. The beds were okay but the room climate control could not be lowered under 25 degrees Celsius and that is no ideal temperature to sleep. Breakfast shows little variety in the food. Personnel made an uninterested impression. We had a booking for two nights but will be moving on after one night in search of a finer more suitable place

A small independent hotel in the middle of Andenes. Free parking just outside the door. Very friendly and forthcoming staff. Room basic, but very clean and with fridge which is convenient. Pet friendly. Breakfast was basic, but decent with many choices of cold cuts, eggs, jams, coffee and juice. Quiet room in a quiet little town!

Nous n’avons pas particulièrement apprécié le coin ( premier voyage en Norvège avec une agence de voyage et des hôtels prédéfini par eux ) . La nuitée que nous avons passé chez eux n’étant pas exceptionnel. Chambre petite et une mauvaise odeur y régner . Un petit déjeuner correct sans plus .

Sommige kamers aan de kleine kant, de onze was ruim genoeg. Badkamer voldoende ruim met goede douchecabine. In dez uithoek van Noorwegen was dit een beter hotel dan bv. het Thon hotel in Bergen. Enkel ontbijt, dat sober maar gezien de locatie meer dan voldoende is.
