ホテル コソ ビエホ(Coso Viejo)

We had the choice of two hotels on our organized holiday - the Coso Viejo in the town centre of Antequera or a much more modern hotel in the suburbs. It is an old hotel/meson in the centre of an old town - Antequera ia a very interesting place in its own right. The room was small but comfortable with air conditioning. There is a lovely central covered courtyard but in my view it is under used as an amenity. The hotel has a bar - restaurant but they have the most prominent tables in the square across the street. There are plenty of other restaurants, bars and shops nearby. The breakfast is tradition meson-style but is fine. A good, historic place to stay.

We stayed here as part of a Newmarket tour to Andalusia. It was a lovely hotel, from the outside nothing special but inside had a lovely Spanish feel and was spotlessly clean. Staff were always pleasant and helpful. There is an attached restaurant next door where breakfast served and the food in an evening is lovely. The hotel is ideally situated, very central with lots of bars and restaurants nearby. As people have commented it can be noisy at the front of the hotel so if you are a light sleeper ask for a room at the back. That said, I’m not a great sleeper but a pair of earplugs and a few glasses of 2Euro glasses of wine from the restaurant and I slept well!

We stayed here as part of a Newmarket Holiday Trip. The hotel is great, full of Spanish charm. The staff are really helpful. We ate several times, were served fresh, great value food. Beautiful wine 2 euros a glass!!! Great location, in the old town. I had a room at the front of the hotel, I am a heavy sleeper, a few people complained about the house of cars. Maybe ask for a rear facing room if you are noise sensitive. The hotel was spotlessly clean. Would love to return.

WE stayed for a week as part of a coach tour organised by Newmarket holidays. We had a marvellous stay and the hotel is quiet and very warm. WE used room 2007, at the back of the hotel. Excellent room. The front of the hotel gives no clue to the excellent interior with great rooms, a quiet internal courtyard, attached cafe and restaurant and a an outside eating area across the road in a beautiful square. A very classis spanish hotel. \The staff are lovely, the rooms are very clean and spacious. I n the evenings the eating area is a small bar with tapas and very busy, It is used by the locals so must be good. 50 yards from the town centre square where all the taps bars, restaurants and small amount of bakeries are situated. \the hotel is in an excellent location if you wish to explore the town on foot - the nearby Moorish castle, stone age caves etc etc. Well worth a stay here,you will not be disappointed.

Plain outside but full of character, Rooms are a little dated BUT spotlessly clean. The beds are very comfortable and the price is reasonable, The are several good restaurants nearby. In the middle for visits to Granada , Cordoba and Seville.

This is a small three star hotel without a bar or parking but well situated in the city for bars, shops and restaurants. Very pleasant reception. Front bedrooms suffer from traffic noise. Within walking distance of the Alcazaba and Los Dolmenes.

The location couldn't be better (right at the Coso Viejo Plaza), near everything you want to see in Antequera (except for the Dolmenes and Torcal, which are out of town). There is paid parking available nearby, but we found a free city parking lot about 400 meters from the hotel (unfortunately, the parking spots at the plaza are for short-term only). The service is also excellent and everything is quite clean. The decor fits well with the vibe in Antequera, but the entire place could benefit from some minor remodeling. Overall, a great value!

We have stayed here before but this time they basically saved our honeymoon after another hotel in the town would only offer us a twin room despite having booked a double. Dashed here to get the last double available, nice room, nice bathroom. Friendly, helpful staff who spoke English and helped put our honeymoon back on track. Super location in the heart of things. We'll definitely be back.

Hemos dormido 6 o 7 veces en el hotel y desde el año pasado va perdiendo calidad a pasos agigantados. No volveré. Hice la reserva p tfno para asegurarme la habitación que quería ya que la vez anterior me la dieron interior y para una noche me apaño pero tres noches en un zulo como que no. Pedí una habitación con vistas para mi marido mi hijo de 7 años y yo. La habitación parecía de internado con tres camas de 90 separadas p mesitas, poco acogedor. Sorprendidos p no tener cama de matrimonio a pesar de haberlo solicitado decidí callarme. Pero lo siguiente que veo al soltar la maleta es un trozo de pan mordisqueado encima de una de las camas. El aire enfría más bien poco optamos p abrir la ventana y eso q antequera en agosto no es el polo norte. Comente en recepción lo del pan y dicen perdón son cosas que pasan y poco mas. Ni un solo detalle ni nada p el estilo. Hemos estado 3 noches y ya si tengo claro que no vuelvo pq me encanta la ubicación pero ya es lo único que vale.
