ラ フェルム デュ シャトー(Ferme du Chateau)

Spent one night and the accommodations exceeded my expectations. Whomever had redesigned and updated thr property has done a remarkable job. The place is just classy without being ostentatious. Love the the buildings and lay out. The breakfast was very good. The staff / owner were very pleasant. Only a couple of things to consider. 1. The chateau is in the Champagne region, maybe a bit of champagne for breakfast would be nice, just charge a couple extra euros for breakfast. It would take a good breakfast to great. 2. A kettle in the room for tea or coffee service would be nice. The only other issue was the none stop barking of dogs. To be fair, it is a farm so kind.of have to assume there is going to be animal sounds and think if it were not summer and the windows open you wouldn't hear it. It is not far off the motorway ( toll way) so no issues getting in and out. There are champagne houses within 10 min drive. Good stay, would recommend.

Beautiful château in the champagne region. Close to champagne houses. Easy check in. Delicious breakfast. Thank you for a wonderful stay we hope to return when we are in the area again.

A wonderful place to lay your head as you explore the Champagne region of France. The rooms are well appointed and the hosts are friendly. We stayed a couple of nights and made new friends as we sat at the table in the courtyard. The hosts allow use of the kitchen and fridge which makes enjoying the local produce easy - they just ask you wash up after. The Falcon nest in the tower is a pleasant surprise although the cockerel over the road is not so welcome in the early morning - we just closed the window and went back to sleep. We will return when we revisit the region - the work the owners are doing on a pool? may have been completed by then

A warm welcome we had! Our host was waiting for us and made arrangements for diner in the next village. We had a lovely stay.

Stayed for 8 nights during August. The owner Nicolas and onsite host Delphine made us both feel very welcome. The location is amazing in a small hamlet, the building historic and family owned, the room was magnificent and breakfast worth attending each morning. No noisy children, just grown ups. Travelled to various locations using Anthenay as our base. You can eat on an outside table which makes for great alfresco dining (after a supermarket shop with wine) when local restaurants become a little too repetitive. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious, the atmosphere is very nice . We didn’t speak French but the staff spoke enough English to help us. I would recommend staying here if you like good quality food and accommodations.

I arrived outside of check-in hours, late at night. Owner was incredible helpful and friendly, even provided some food and a beer. Next morning, my rental car would not start. Once again, owner and staff was amazingly helpful. Thanks for the best service ever.

This beautiful, quiet and rustic location set in the countryside was exactly what we wanted. The host, Nicholas, was attentive and welcoming, offering recommendations for local restaurants and places to visit. We stayed for 2 nights in late April and were comfortable throughout in this impressively renovated farm. Reims and Epernay are approximately 20 mins drives away and you drive passed/through a few pretty villages on the way. Ample breakfast (fresh coffee, fruit, pastries, bread, ham, cheese, eggs) was served in the spacious living area and provided a great start to the day. We would definitely recommend this to our friends.
