ホテル マリーナ ディ ラヴァ(Hotel Marina di Lava)

We were initially concerned when we arrived at the complex because the road leading there seemed endless with poor markings and once we got there finding parking was a bit of a nightmare. We soon realised why the parking was so bad, and that was because the beach there was superb! The young Portuguese lady at the reception desk immediately made us feel welcome and explained that the car park was just extra busy due to it being a Sunday and this was proved correct as parking was available later. The apartment we had was lovely! The bathroom was finished beautifully and the shower was all we could have asked for. The bed was large and comfortable and the small garden area was perfect to sit out on at the end of a long hot day. We were lucky to have a tree right outside the back so we had plenty of shade but still enough sun to dry our towels etc. The restaurant was brilliant, the food superb and the staff helpful and friendly even when very busy. As Ive already said, the beach was amazing! There was plenty of space on the soft sand and the sea was calm and warm. If I’m searching for negatives the only thing I can say is that the breakfast was pretty basic and repetitive and the only time we tried to order at the bar the language barrier seemed too much when even just asking if there was any food available. One word of warning, the roads are very windy, the island is bigger than it seems and the resort is a little distance from most of the larger towns so be prepared to travel if you want to experience different areas. Other than that I can’t recommend the facility enough. We genuinely had a lovely, relaxing experience.

Nice place, the breakfast was expensive and too little to choose from. Beach is great if you like fun waves!

Loved everything about this resort hotel. Beautiful location, spacious comfortable rooms, excellent restaurant with a wide variety of menu choices and a well-stocked bar with conscientious, friendly staff. Not a lot more you can say really other than if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing picturesque place to stay in Corsica this should be your No.1 choice. Great all round

Just average, it's rows of interconnected small rooms with little personality and a little worn, e.g. rust in the bathroom. We booked a "superior garden view room" but were placed in room 302 which had view of the beach/parking, I only realised the mistake after checkout, didn't help my overall underwhelmed impression of the hotel.

Excellent location of the hotel right on the beach, beautiful sea and nice Corsican enviroment. Clean and spacious rooms, helpful staff. Very good restaurant with a wide range of dishes. I'd glad to go back there again. Thank you.

Nous y avons mangé hier midi. Un seul mot : nul !!!! Terrasse envahi par des centaines de guêpes. Nous avons changé 3 fois de table. Poubelles ouvertes au milieu des tables. Par de mon époux immangeable ! 95e pour 2 plats et du vin....à fuir absolument !!! Les tables autour de nous ont quitté la table tout comme nous ! Établissement glauque !

Quel plaisir que celui d’un dîner avec la plage à vos pieds et le golfe de Lava en face de vous. J’ai eu plaisir à retrouver le poulpe façon Thaï déjà dégusté lors de mon dernier passage il y a un an. Bon tataki de thon, bonnes frites et bon dos de cabillaud. La déception vient d’une escalope milanaise trop sèche et inadéquate avec ses tomates mozarella qui la surmontent. Cela humidifie la panure ! Et puis, ce service impersonnel, cette absence d’ambiance rend le lieu moins attrayant. C’est un peu dommage. Jean-Michel

Accueil chaleureux , équipe souriante et efficace . Plats variés et prix corrects . Tataki de thon délicieux et très bien assaisonné , pizzas copieuses , bien garnies et pâte fine . Bémol sur l’Escalope de veau milanaise ….peu goûteuse , un peu sèche . Bonne adresse avec vue imprenable sur le golfe .

Habitant Bastia, le temps d'une nuit...déçus par les prestations de l'hôtel. La chambre simple, décorée avec goût mais une alèse en plastique qui recouvre le matelas; donc à chaque mouvement,ça fait du bruit. Très inconfortable pour dormir. 2 malheureux petits sachets de gel douche, ça fait peu quand on revient de la plage et pour le lendemain matin. Pas de sèche cheveux, contrairement à ce qui est indiqué sur le site , les baies vitrées qui ne ferment pas et le mini frigo dont la porte est cassée. Ça fait beaucoup pour un 3 étoiles, vu le prix de la nuitée. Pour ce qui est du restaurant, le plat principal très bon, servi de suite ..par contre, beaucoup plus long pour la suite et le dessert ( surprise snikers )qui nous a rendu malade. Nous avons laissé la moitié, c'est pour dire! Dommage parce que le site est beau.
