ホテル ガストホフ ツム オクセン(Hotel Gasthof Zum Ochsen)

The location was excellent just outside Basel and around 200m from a tram station with easy access to the city centre. The hotel was clean and comfortable with an excellent restaurant providing a high standard of menu. The quirkiness continues with an old style connection to a butchery as well as free coffee, tea and excellent beer provided free at a station on each floor. The staff could not have been more helpful and welcoming to my wife and me during our stay. The hotel is run in and old fashioned style but in a modern fashion. We both would like to find an excuse to return for another visit. Thanks to everyone there. Colin and Jane Keir

The room was very large quiet and comfortable, the bathroom very agreeable. We also had a dinner in the restaurant, and we were not deceived !! Thanks to the Staff for the very good service too. Altogether, the experience was perfect.

I had room24, and it was ＞25 degrees celsius so I slept with window open (no airco). Butthat room is situated at the top of the channel that leads all the cooking stuff out of the kitchen. So lot oof noise and little smell from early in the morning. But nice stay again, good breakfast and great service

Hotel completely renovated and well located in the heart of Arlesheim. Pleasant stay with very careful and attentive staff. Breakfast included in the room with an assortment of local products, generous and of very good quality. Quiet and recommended restaurant

The hotel is very nicely situated and has a great restaurant. However, if you want a good night’s rest, you may well be disappointed. At 05.30 in the morning hotel staff started to unload lorry’s right in front of the hotel bedrooms. And in speaking to a fellow traveller at breakfast, this had happened to him as well a few months earlier. When we raised this with hotel staff, they recognised this is happening and we were told we should have asked for a quiet room at the other side of the hotel…

I was my first time to visit Switzerland and attending a conference at Dornach. The hotel in Arlesheim and is very close to Dornach. Tram #10 is an easy fast way to take. Two tram stops to be there. The hotel has a short cut from the back to go by walking. Staff is very nice, helpful, and welcoming. Breakfast is healthy, rich and awesome! There is no fridge, or iron but fruits, tea and coffee outside the room 24/7. I was happy, very clean space and cozy.

This is a great hotel in a lovely little town. It was very clean, the staff were very kind, and the included breakfast was excellent. I would definitely stay again if I return to the area. And it is only a 10 minute walk to the Goetheanum!

This hotel was a gem! The room was spacious with a great bathroom and very comfy beds. Three of us shared a room and it never felt crowded or too much. Very clean and effort put forth for our comfort. The free morning breakfast was delicious, nutritious and simply perfect. Something for everyone! Each floor also had free bottled water and local beer and fruit! I would give the entire experience 5 stars!

Super hotel, which maintains a consistently high standard always. Excellent staff and very clean throughout. Attention to detail in the rooms is impressive. Views from the hotel are super. Dining is second to none in the restaurant with careful thought in every dish.
