The hotel is located within walking distance to a supermarket, so you can comfortably stay here even without a car. Additionally, the hotel and the surrounding area are quiet, so you can enjoy a good night's sleep.
Nickel and Dime - as a Diamond member - no longer free breakfasts - but receive a $15 food and beverage credit. Cannot spend on food or drinks in sundry shop. Only from restaurant - who has very limited hours. And the credit does NOT apply to gratuity. All tips are charged back - even if under $15. Room keys consistently malfunctioning. Dirty old carpet in hallways and room. Need to wear shoes everywhere.

The worst customer service I have ever seen. We had a reservation for 3 nights (May 5th-8th) and checked in early on the app the day before we arrived and picked our room. I opened the app around 5pm on the day of check in to request a digital key, pleased to find we had been upgraded to a suite. The room was clean, though dated, but we were grateful for the upgrade. On May 7th, housekeeping knocked to ask when we were leaving. Confused, we went down to the front desk, who did not have record of our stay being through May 8th. In fact, our app displayed our reservation as a "late cancellation" despite checking in, but yet, we were somehow issued a key. They did not have record of our reservation for the evening of May 7th. I even had an email showing I had shared the key with my husband on the check-in day of May 5th, not to mention we'd been staying there for 2 days before it became an issue. The woman at the front desk asked me to forward her the email along with our reservation confirmation and they would take care of it. Turns out, taking care of it was charging me full price for the suite, which meant I was overcharged by over $700. Multiple voicemails for the manager were unreturned. I called Hilton's diamond desk and while they were able to speak to the manager once, he never returned any calls once Hilton opened a case. Then the hotel indicated in the case compensation had been issued on May 31st, which closed the case. As of June 25th, I have not received a refund and the manager continues to ignore calls from Hilton. This has to be escalated internally with Hilton so I can get my $700+ back, which I already had to cover and pay my May statement balance because it has been so long. We frequently fly to Chicago to visit family and I wouldn't stay here again if it was the only hotel available. I'd rather sleep in my car. Shame on this hotel and its management for being so deceptive, dishonest, and downright shady thieves.

Hampton Inn is my hotel of choice however due to last minute change in plans I found myself choosing a different property under the Hilton umbrella. It’s a mistake I will not make again. The common areas in this hotel were dirty and run down. Desk staff was unfriendly and not helpful in answering questions regarding room. I don’t know was the response. The bathroom sink in our room did not drain. The outlet was so old and loose you were unable to plug an appliance into it without cord falling out. While I understood breakfast was not provided I would think coffee should be available. For the price this is not a good value. The Hampton Inn always asks me to review a property following a stay. I know understand there’s a reason this Double Tree did not.

Good hotel with a decent restaurant on site. Shuttle service to and from the airport was not as expected and even though I asked if the folks standing at the lobby were waiting for the shuttle, I was told "no". As I am standing at the front waiting for an Uber I see the driver load the van with luggage and passengers going to the airport. Hotel room is starting to show the age and the biggest let down was the lack of a fridge in the room. Even though airline staff gets rooms with fridges and microwaves. Hotel is quiet and housekeeping staff were the only ones being above and beyond friendly. On the positive side... Rooms are spacious and quiet.

Check in was so bad multiple stay at this place for work but never again. As Diamond members the front desk clerk was so rude and I spoke with the manager about it and he said nothing I assure you we will not return after this visit. I think people should know how to give respect to receive it. She acted as if she had no upbringing. The pool has put off bad chlorine smells at other stays here. So with my allergies I asked to be moved off the first floor. Was told it wasn't going to happen. In our profile it says we request high floors. I was also told I could file the complaint and take my business elsewhere. So this will be the last time at this Doubletree in Arlington Heights

Maybe in December, staffs have no motivation and work less. Shower never work : completely broken. Shuttle bus forgot to pick me up, and I waited for long time in the snow. I complained with feeling ill, but Person at the front desk talked back in bad mood.

Christine was amazing to work with. She did the best job of getting me checked in and then helped the gentleman at the bar find the Hennessy. She went above and beyond to help our team. Please update the orange couch in the lounge near the tv. I really appreciate the service and it caused me to overlook the poor couch quality.

My wife and I recently spent a Saturday night at the Doubletree Hotel in Arlington Heights, IL. We booked the room as part of a hotel block for a wedding that we were attending, so I can’t really comment on the price. The hotel is located on a fairly busy street with various commercial businesses, including some fast casual restaurants, in the vicinity. The hotel is quite large and has almost 250 rooms. The lobby was adequately sized and had several seating spots. Parking and wi-fi is free. There several meeting rooms and a fitness center and an indoor pool. (We didn’t use any of these amenities.) Breakfast was not included in the room rate, but there is a Denny’s literally next door. Check-in was courteous and efficient. As is apparently customary at Doubletrees, we were given chocolate chip cookies when we registered. We were assigned room 212 on the second floor, which was in a corridor that seemed to go on forever. The room offered a fair amount of privacy as it overlooked the indoor swimming pool. (See pics.) The room was a good size and decorated in a contemporary style with earth tones. A flat screen TV was above a dresser/cabinet combination. The cabinet held a safe and a coffee brewer with fixings. Next to it was a dorm-sized refrigerator and then a desk/chair. Other furniture included a lounge chair/ottoman, small round table and floor lamp. A regular-sized closet contained an iron/ironing board. The king-size had four large pillows. The bed was a little soft, but comfortable. It was flanked by nightstands with lamps. There was a digital clock on one, which was so bright that it effectively served as a night light. The bathroom was average-sized. The vanity had adequate counter space and the sink was serviceable, but surprisingly small - it reminded us of a bar sink. Underneath the sink was a funky moveable (?) shelf. There was a hair dryer, hand soap, wall-mounted hair/body wash, and body lotion all by Crabtree & Evelyn. The tub/shower’s shower pressure and water temperature were fine. The HVAC worked fine, but was extremely loud when it cycled. Soundproofing between rooms could have been better; it was obvious when the guest in the next room was taking a shower. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and would recommend it if you are looking for lodging in the Arlington Heights area. For more specific details and pictures, visit the hotel’s website.

Recently stayed for 3 nights after spending a busy time at Oshkosh. Checkin staff where friendly and warm, with one lady spending a good amount of time helping us with information on the best way to get into the city! Thankyou! Rooms were modern, and beds extremely comfortable. The aircon whilst quiet and cold, blew directly onto one of the beds so it was hard to get the balance right. Bathroom was clean and spacious but I feel like it was missing an exhaust fan and took some time to vent after a shower. We ate dinner once, and breakfast 3 times in the restaurant and found the meals tasty, well sized and great value. However the service was distant and aloof, with customers having to get out of their chairs to get their attention on occasion. It is in a good location close to amenities and food. We would stay here again if visiting Chicago.
