Very friendly and helpful staff; locally owned; quiet place with lush gardens; inviting and clean pool; good vibes within the staff; large and clean rooms; a good choice on your way to Safari in the national parks

We stayed at Masailand Safari & Lodge before and after trekking to Uhuru peak. We were welcomed with a glass of juice on arrival. Rooms were spacious. Air-con did not work. Hot water either too hot or too cold, and hot water tank/geyser too small to provide hot water for two people. Staff helpful and friendly — even kindly went the extra mile to buy me a toothbrush after I discovered I forgot mine at home. Restaurant menus priced in USD, but slips offered to sign were in TSh. Breakfast did not include cereals. Laundry services quite expensive. Although quiet, Masailand is rather far away from all other places of interest. Gravel road from the T2 tar road leading to the entrance gate of Masailand in poor condition.

Masailand organized me and my friend an amazing safari experience in Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro national parks for 5 days. Good program, brilliant, funny and very skillful guide-driver Issack, plendid accomodation both at Masailand ( superroom & surroundings) and during the safari in different locations. Special thanks for Upendo for all arrangenents! Without your help we would have been in trouble with transports. Would have given five points, but the Masailand logde restaurant was a great disappointment (long waiting times, the dessert we asked for never appeared, impassive personnel, etc.) and the lack of professional customer service (again impassive reaction for customer's problems). Personnel needs education.

Me with my colleague had 1 night to Masailand lodge before the start of our Safari, we had such a great time for that night and the staff were so nice to us. The lodge is in queit place and I recommend others to have a visit to this lodge. We thanks Sarah and whole team of Masailand lodge for their service. Asante sana!

The resort is a great place to spend a quiet weekend. The place has great landscaping, with good setup of rooms which are clean, spacious, with a separation of living area, bedroom, bathroom and closet. The food is good, though breakfast needs a bit of more options. It’s close to Arusha, and to Mt. Meru. Definitely worth returning for another stay.

Located close to Mt. Meru with a beautiful sunset view from the swimming pool. I found Masailand one of the best lodges I have stayed in Arusha and do recommend to anyone who loves a quiet environment. The rooms are superb with bathtub, balcony, Tv, bathrobe and strong WiFi. Well definitely revisit again.

Only stayed one night here but had a great time. There was only us & one other guest who we enjoyed dinner & wine with. Staff were friendly & attentive & let us put on our own music. Rooms were comfy & food was delicious. Pool looked divine but we got in too late to swim. Would recommend.

The best! I stayed there 4 times going out on Safari and back. Even after the first stay we felt at home. The staff!!!! Dixon and his crew outstanding. Emmy the General Manager was welcoming and so knowledgeable. I will stay there again!!!!!!

The Hotel was very nice!! It was clean, the staff was all so nice and friendly! The staff even washed my dirty shoes and I did not even ask them to! I enjoyed the stay very much! I would recommend this Hotel!
