ラ ヴェッキア フォンテ(La Vecchia Fonte)

We had a lovely stay at this hotel! The rooms were really clean and the staff were super friendly and helpful in booking daily excursions and transportation! I particularly loved the room decor and furniture :)

My stand alone one night accommodation was perfect in every way. The view of nature is just what I wanted after being 2 nights in Bonifacio town. Quite, great internet, and while no food service (I had brought meats & cheeses) the lovely women found a great bottle of wine! I would go back and stay longer.

This is quite a nice hotel centrally located and very close to the harbour. We had the standard room and it was a good size, small balcony from Which we could see the harbour and water. The staff are lovely and very helpful. As we had been traveling around sardenia for almost 3 weeks, we did some handwashing and I used my travel line on the balcony for it to dry but was asked by the hotel to remove it. ( nothing was draped over the edges). Fair enough. Our only issue here was the breakfast. Perhaps we have been spoilt with previous hotel breakfasts - this was packet cakes and rolls. Average runny eggs and undercooked bacon. Other than that very small issue, we enjoyed our stay. We enjoyed coffee in the cafe attached to the hotel as well as late afternoon drinks in the sun. Special mention to our fabulous waiter Fabio (?) There was a lot of noise late at night from the adjoining park so if you are a light sleeper perhaps ask for a room at the back of the hotel. A must while you are here is to get on a boat and tour around the islands. It’s a wonderful day but book early. It’s very popular. Also go on a day trip to La Maddalena. It’s gorgeous. The hotel can advise on the best way to do this.

This hotel has a great style and location in the center of town and on the marina. There was a street crafts fair right outside the hotel the night we stayed there (last night) with very high quality wares. I bought a nice leather belt, finished on the spot! The proprietors are engaging and informative; the complimentary breakfast was very good. The only negative was that we had no control over the temperature in the room last night and it was a bit uncomfortably warm.

Wonderful Hotel, totally Italian with exceptional staff and service beyond expectations. We enjoyed a 14 night B&B stay (Dinner available if required) for a celebratory holiday. Having booked through Thomas Cook we expected a traditional package hotel. It was a pleasant surprise to find La Vecchia Fonte was not one but rather traditional Italian luxury accommodation. We cannot speak more highly about the service and personal help offered by the management and front of house staff. Our bedroom with balcony looking towards Palau marina was immaculate and the breakfast and bar staff attentive and friendly. We recommend La Vecchia if you want to be spoilt by good professional staff for whom nothing was too much trouble

Of all the 4-star hotels we stayed at in Sardinia this one is the only one worthy of 4 stars, and it earns that title and then-some! Absolutely lovely staff and director, very clean and well stocked rooms and an amazing breakfast. We also asked the staff if they would organise a dinner for us on our balcony and they went all out, giving us the most special dinner we had in Sardinia, maybe ever! It was for our parents 30th anniversary and they made everything impeccable! A very special thanks to the owner, Mirco, who personally came to make sure everything was perfect and as well to Filippo, who greeted us so warmly!

Nice location, close to marina and best restaurants. Spacious and cozy room, with the entrance to the back terrace (if you are lucky). Despite of rusty look, all the appliances are in good conditions. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is sufficient.

After 5 days in San Teodoro we came here to enjoy the Archipelago of La Maddalena, wish we could have booked our entire vacation as San Teodoro was just too busy and messy. This Hotel is very convenient for location , pricing and services. The night sleep at this place is simply WOW , great beds and fluffy pillows made us sleep like babies ... The best part is the staff , Laura at the breakfast room was superb , smiling gentle and accommodating despite busy service, we loved your pancakes ! Alessandro at the reception gave us so many insights about the whereabouts in Maddalena and Caprera , simply a top concierge , thank you for that. The little back garden for my dog was the cherry on the cake. Booked directly this Hotel after reading different reviews and have to say those negative ones look fake.

A super location was needed for our tour in the Arcipelago La Maddalena and this Hotel was just perfect . We stayed here or4 days . Rooms were super clean with great amenities , wonderful bathroom amenities and a nicely decorated room. Friendly staff and super breakfast that’s what we wanted. Will be back for sure next year, thanks to the lovely personnel at this Hotel who made our stay fantastic with great recommendations.
