マーブル ハウス(Marble House)

We stayed for two nights, before going on a cruise, and would definitely stay here again. It is great value for money. The hotel is located at the head of a cul de sac and was very quiet. Our room was small but spotlessly clean and comfortable. All of the staff are friendly and helpful. The area around the hotel has numerous restaurants, cafes and a great bakery very close to it. It is about a 15 minute walk to the Acropolis and Plaka.

A warm welcome awaits you at the charming Marble House. This small hotel, owned and run by a friendly and helpful family, is located on a quiet side street. It is an oasis in the heart of the vibrant neighbourhood of Koukaki. It has the feel of an island hotel but it is close to the Acropolis and the city centre. It is convenient for the metro too. Our en suite room was spacious and spotlessly clean. We visit Athens often and will most certainly stay here again.

We returned to Marble House after nine years - and they remembered us and greeted us like old friends! This family run hotel is clean as a whistle, intelligently designed and decorated, as conveniently located as imaginable, with "back-packer" prices but a much higher-end vibe. If you need help with anything, they can offer it: great restaurant suggestions, early morning taxis, where to get a sim-card, how to navigate the area on foot, use public transit etc. The only negative is that there is no elevator, but if you need the help, they will carry your bags up for you - in our case including a very heavy duffel bag full of lemons! After two wonderful stays over ten years, we will always choose Marble House first, and we recommend it to all our travelling friends and relatives.

We sent in Athens for the first Time and Marble House is ideally located : in a space quiet, stone throw from good restaurants and close to tourist points of interest ( acropole, roman agora, museum, Plaka…) The rooms are clean and the bedding comfortable Also, the Marble House family received us with a great hospitality and gave us Precious advices who made our stay very pleasant

Honestly the room rate at this hotel was so reasonable I wasn't expecting much. I'm leaving this review because I was so pleasantly surprised at the service, comfort and overall atmosphere at this little hotel that I feel it deserves high praise. First of all, the rooms are absolutely spotless. The bathroom was so clean it literally sparkled. Just so much attention to detail. The mattress was really comfortable and the only time I heard any noise at all was when someone was directly outside my door. Nothing at all from the other rooms. Koukaki is a fantastic neighborhood with so many interesting cafes and shops. It is an excellent choice if you want to be within easy walking distance to the main Athens attractions while experiencing some of the local flavor that you absolutely will not find in a neighborhood like Plaka, which, while beautiful, honestly feels a little too sterile. Even though the hotel is situated in a vibrant neighborhood full of Athenians doing their thing, the quiet cul-de-sac insulates it from the bustle and it was a pleasure to sit on my balcony in the evening and enjoy the peace. The staff. From front desk to cleaning, they are so helpful and just very pleasant to be around. I felt very welcome. Manos at the front desk had so much great advice, even about rather obscure places on Crete where I'm headed next. I was allowed to store my luggage after checkout, and he waited with me to make sure my taxi arrived on time. This hotel really is just a class act all around and I would 100% stay here again if I ever make it back to Athens. 11/5 stars.

Hotel is in a cul-de-sac. Small but very beautiful property. Clean and cozy. Rooms are small but very nicely painted and upholstered. Loved it! It is very near the main road. Lobby is also very nice and beautiful.

What a gem! Fantastic, quiet location, friendly welcome, clean and simple. We had two rooms with air conditioning - the one at the front was more attractive. Food, transport etc. are all nearby and the centre was an easy walk. We would definitely stay again!

Cozy hotel located in a quiet area not far from the center and the metro station. manos and the marble house team welcomed us very well and were always ready to help us, we easily spoke English. Rooms always clean. Incredible value for money, a real pearl.

Very clean rooms and a quiet neighborhood, ideal for families. The people there were friendly and willing to help in any of our requests. Close to the metro station and many facilities. I would definitively stay there again!
