La Demoiselle

5* for the hosts, room size, quiet street, residential area, excellent security, location was perfect 3* breakfast is served at 8.30 which is very late for tourists, the choice is extremely limited, no hot foods, minimum breads/croissants, certainly not suitable for bigger appetites 3*. No shower recess, so water did flow out and saturate the bathroom floor 2* No tv, this absolutely surprised us as we like to relax back in our room at night. The reliability of wifi wasn't great, so limited access to stream from tablets.

We had a delightful stay at La Demoiselle. We were greeted and very well taken care of by their wonderful and responsive staff. Joanna shared her excellent knowledge of Avignon, and was able to provide great tips and recommendations for our visit. The room was spacious and comfortable, the central location very desirable, and the daily breakfast with home-baked goods was a treat. A great place to stay in lovely Avignon.

La Demoiselle was an incredible experience for us! When we checked in, Joanna gave us all the tips for the best restaurants and places to visit. The location is amazing and we were able to walk everywhere in Avignon from our spot. The rooms were lovely as well, and very spacious. The breakfast was amazing - they had homemade yogurt that we looked forward to every morning.

If you're looking for a hotel to stay within Old Town Avignon, this is the place! A Gorgeous 5 Room Boutique Hotel ideally located to explore Avignon. From the moment we were warmly greeted by Joanna on our arrival, we knew we had picked the perfect place to stay and enjoy our time in Avignon. Stayed in the Jeanne Suite which is generous in room size with a balcony to sit and relax on. It also has a lovely indoor sitting area, desk and the bed was comfortable and cosy. The bathroom was well appointed (shower and toilet) with heated towel rail and cupboard to store personal items. We enjoyed the breakfast (fresh croissants, homemade pot yoghurt, bread, cheeses, fruit etc...) Joanna was a lovely host and very knowledgeable of Avignon and its history with some great local restaurant recommendations and sights to see. Met the owner Lisa on our final morning who was just as gracious and helpful (arranged a taxi for our early morning departure and also gave some great suggestion of what to see, do and eat at our next destination) No Hesitation in Recommending this Warm and Welcoming Hotel and would definitely come and stay again. This boutique hotel is in a quiet location but close to to the main attractions. We had the Colette room which was large, bright & quiet. Modern bathroom & very comfortable bed. Good quality breakfast. Violette & Joanna were warm & welcoming hosts.

Beautiful rooms in very nice old townhouse on a quiet street. Everything looks even nicer than the photos. Excellent service and delicious breakfast served in a cute patio. The service is warm and excellent. Would definitely return if we were back in Avignon.

Centrally located and well-managed, this is a true opportunity to change from the regular hotels we all know to a cultural immersion in the atmosphere of the Old Town. The place and location make you feel like you'd live in town as a local, rather than feeling a tourist. Spotlessly clean. Very good quality of breakfast.

La Demoiselle is one of the best places I've ever stayed. The rooms are beautifully decorated, comfortable, spotlessly clean, and huge. We stayed in the Jeanne room with the adjoining patio and it was SO lovely to have the outdoor space to ourselves. The property is in a great location. On a quiet street, but very close to restaurants, pharmacies, shops, and groceries. It was easy to get to all the city sights, but so nice to stay in this more local part of town. But best of all was the kindness and helpfulness we received from both Violette and Lisa. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. They provided great insight into the area (Violette was a tour guide and is a great source of knowledge) and truly made us feel like we were at home. I can't recommend La Demoiselle enough! I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We loved everything. The room was spacious, clean and the decor was beautiful. The hotel was quiet and very well located. It was my husbands birthday on our last day and they very kindly baked him a cake at my request, the owners couldn't do enough for us.
