アワトゥナ ホームステッド(Awatuna Homestead)

This was easily the nicest accommodation that we stayed in during our 6 week tour of Australia and New Zealand. Lynsey and Paul are charming hosts who made us feel very welcome in their lovely home. The bed, bathroom and kitchen were top notch and we had the best nights sleep of our tour. We only heard the famous train once ! I wish the rest of our accommodation was as nice as the Homestead and that we were staying a few more days. Highly recommended 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Really nice place we loved it. We had the apartment upstairs and it was wonderful.Everything you could possibly want for a night stay. We were warned about the train but we didn’t hear it. Lovely welcome. The best place we stayed at in New Zealand. If you’re thinking of staying there then do because it’s really worth it

We had a wonderful stay after a warm welxome with home made deliceous muffins and banana bread, some cold drinks and a nice apartment. The Homestead is a very special place, with love and character. Nothing you ll find very often. Lynley & Paul are wonderful hosts,

A delightful property, which is the owner’s home but has ensuite rooms. We had a ground floor room, which was a good size. The hosts were fantastic. We decided to take up the offer of a home cooked evening meal (the property is a car ride away from the main towns), which was delightful. Would highly recommend.

Fab place just outside of Hokitika, lovely hosts, well presented and maintained accommodation. Sadly we only had the one night here but would definitely recommend. West facing balcony with sea view where you can have a cold drink and watch the sun go down. Great touches by the host, cold beer and wine in the fridge plus home baked cakes. Quiet garden area downstairs if you’d prefer but all in all a great place to stop.

Lovely place to stay, the room was great (clean and tidy) and breakfast delicious. Home from home especially having the dogs in the yard. Paul and Lynley could not have been better hosts and very helpful in thinking about things to do. A great place to stay just outside Hokitika.

We stayed 4 nights in the Self Contained Unit ( 2 bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, dining area, lounge,& outdoor deck area ) and it was amazing, so clean & spacious! The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you could want, it even had a Nespresso coffee machine! The outdoor area leading out from the kitchen was a lovely spot to sit and enjoy the peacefulness and garden views. Lynley and Paul were fabulous hosts and made us feel really welcome - we will definitely be back!!

Awatuna Homestead is beautifully appointed and tucked in a serene garden setting. Paul and Lynley are wonderful hosts, knowledgeable about the area and warm and welcoming. The breakfasts are delicious and we are repeat visitors to this haven.
