Cold room and matress very thin. Breakfast was make yourself which is not clear when booking.

Loved the quirkiness of the property. Loads of character with a very warm and tranquil vibe to it. It's In a beautiful area that felt super peaceful. Room 3 was a lovely room, really warm and cosy. The bed was super comfortable.

The rooms are ok, a little on the tired side. Breakfast is self service, but it’s good with plenty of options. It’s a unique location and lovely surroundings. More personality than most hotels. The big win is the price, for the location and surrounding it’s very good.

I cannot begin to describe how awful this hotel is! When you arrive, the courtyard is filled with ****s and dead plants. As you enter the room, the eaves over the door are encrusted with filth, cobwebs and live spiders. The rooms is decrepit and dirty and smells as if someone recently died there! The toilet flushes only intermittently and the shower is virtually inoperable. You will receive a piece of soap the size of a US quarter. The floor in the bathroom has fungus creeping in from the walls, the shower is peeling and there is mold everywhere. There was no daily housekeeping. ENTER AT YOUR PERIL!!

I vehemently do not recommend anyone stay here. It was dirty, full of dust and cobwebs and worst of all, live spiders and beetles IN THE ROOM! Nothing was clean, the shower door did not close, the toilet gurgled constantly and I could hear EVERYTHING in the next room. The bed was a mattress on a wire frame that screeched and moaned with every movement. Out of fear of contamination, I was forced to sleep fully clothed. Unfortunately, as it is not winter, I had not packed gloves which I needed for protection. This place is a dump: beware!

I am sure this is a great place to stay reading reviews, however I arrived on a Monday was expecting to eat in the pub wandered over at 6 and everything was shut up. I found out from the website it shuts at 7. Would have been good to have been advised on checkin. Breakfast included but is help yourself good but I was expecting to be able to have a cooked breakfast before a long days work. I met several guests who all made similar comments during my stay. Having viewed the facebook and other feed back it must have just been a hick up but sorry I would not stay again.

Lovely pub idyllic setting, The Brocket Arms, serves lovey food and whilst busy, the service was great. The staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough for us, they catered for a gluten Intolerance Can’t recommend it highly enough!!

Had a great walk around the village and stopped at this lovely country pub. Brocket beer is a must, great service and very friendly locals. Definitely worth a visit and gorgeous countryside so close to London.

Stayed for one night for Business. Checked in in the evening. I had a meal, only a burger but cooked to perfection, with a choice of sides & toppings. Staff are friendly nothing was a hassle. Even gave me a breakfast to take away as I was leaving before normal operating hours for breakfast. Room would be plenty big enough for 2, cosy too. Shower hot and good pressure. What else. Hold you ask for.
