The staff are the best ever, willing to cater to your every need. They are friendly, supportive and are always smiling, even when they are faced with difficult challenges. They are the best. From the Reception Desk (Mousa), to the Porters, the Chefs (Chef Lamin and the rest of the team) in the kitchen, Bar staff (Rashida & Arouna), Housekeepers (Mohammed) - they are second to none and always go above and beyond. I became unwell halfway through my stay at the hotel and they catered to my every wish. Making me special meals to help me on my recovery - I cannot thank them enough.

Fantastic friendly hotel that is on the smaller side, ideal for a nice relaxing holiday. Beautiful beach, accommodation is simple but lovely. Food is amazing, staff really take the time to get to know you. Nice pool area with plenty of sunbeds

FIRST OF ALL...take a continental travel adapter....the sockets are not all UK type. Otherwise, this place is GREAT for R&R. The standard rooms are VERY basic but very clean, have an abundance of hot water and the beds were comfortable. The staff are AMAZING 👏 Top man Lamin the Chef cooks fantastic dishes, catering for both the adventurous and less so) Wait staff Aruna, Lamin, Mariama and Cristina are fab (so was everyone else but names not noted) Owa and Abi in the spa were just lovely as was the Egyptian manager. Milton and Richard (entertainment) were very helpful (again the young lady was too but I didn't get her name) John The Baptist and Yankz (?) the pool guys were very helpful (no shortage of sunbeds) and even the security team deserves a mention. Ricki on customer liaison sorted the one problem we ladies had, quickly and efficiently. Momadou, the housekeeper and colleagues and the gardeners do a top job. Pieter the TUI rep was so helpful when we had to re arrange an excursion. The hotel is set on the beach, within a short walk to the creek where we took a boat ride to watch the amazing birds. Just got back from a week with my sisters. The most accommodating staff across the board. Friendly and always smiling. Great location although we don’t manage to get to the ‘*****’ we did go on a couple of excursions. We had bungalows on the seafront. Just lovely although, same as most other reviews - rooms (bathrooms) need regrouting, loo roll holder hanging on for its life! The bar area needs a lick of paint!! Overall, a great place. We will be back.

Hotel is small but set in beautiful gardens. Staff are friendly and go out of their way to try and please you. The rooms are very dated but clean and more than adequate. The day time entertainment consists of pool aqua gym, beach volley ball, pool basket ball apart from that no much else. The night entertainment is mainly local traditional drums which is extremely noisy and very very repetitive, a few night a week there is a local band and with singers. The quality of food is good however the choice is very poor and again repetitive. Service at the bar is very very slow all day every day. If this hotel ever gets full it would not cope.

This was our 5 th visit so we like it here! yes the rooms are tired but the staff and food and lovely grounds make this a special place it’s small full of repeat visitors, that always speaks for itself . Great having the new table tennis table which I enjoyed very much .Richard is an asset to the hotel he is friendly and fun and part of the entertainment team . Which has upped its game with a new pool table football table etc . .Rooms now have kettles and mugs. more sockets have been done in the rooms we always take a converter plug from 2 pin to 3 for the others not yet changed . Staff at this hotel make it love the pool guys all 3 are great . waiters all good but our personal favourite is Aruba daytime everyone here is so friendly it makes this hotel booking to go back next year today happy days xx

This is a smaller hotel with a fantastic sunset view. The food selection is limited but surprisingly well flavored. When we stayed here there were plenty of sunbeds as the hotel was not full. The staff is very friendly. The entertainment team was friendly and played ping pong with our kids. There is plenty of bar staff but they are a bit slow. The pool staff keeps the pool clean and is happy to help you with umbrellas for shade when requested. Breakfast is from 7 to 10, lunch from 13 to 15 and dinner from 19 to 22. the hotel offers local entertainment every evening which is very nice but also very loud. The beach is very nice for beach walks and you have direct access from the hotel. The rooms are cleaned every day but they are not of the highest standard(they are worn down). You get clean towels everyday if needed. The rooms has a safety box. Its possible to go on tours with local operators where you can be picked up directly from the hotel. The hotel also offers cash withdrawals - however be aware that this is a bit of a hustle- they will charge you 5 % in commission but then also insist on withdrawing in US dollars where they add additional 10%. To save you the cost its better to bring euros from home or to withdraw cash from ATM's. Be prepared that in Gambia everyone tries to make a bit if money on you and its just plain annoying this also goes for the hotel. A taxi to the hotel from the airport should cost you 20 EUR. The hotel offers a free beach walk tour which is very nice for your first trip out of the hotel. We would also recommend doing a tour to see Gambia like the 4 tours in 1 day tour. 50 m from the hotel you can get a local taxi. All rooms have mosquito nets but its advised to spray with repellant before going to dinner service as there are a few mosquitos even in dry season.

The hotel is in a perfect location right on the beach. The sea is so close that you can hear the waves lapping on the shore from your bedroom (GARDEN ROOMS). The pool area, gardens and beach area are kept beautifully, and although the bedrooms are a little dated the beds are comfortable, facilities adequate (powerful, hot shower) and mini fridge and kettle very useful. Most of the staff are very helpful and friendly, particularly the Chef, kitchen and dining room staff, plus housekeeping and security. I found the entertainment and pool bar staff more attentive to white guests (majority were white). I also found the Male sales staff from the spa to be quite aggressive trying to obtain bookings. All in all I had a pleasant, laid back holiday with perfect weather and extremely friendly locals who gave me a warm welcome and made me feel at home.

Returned last week from this hotel and We have got to say what an amazing place to stay. We have visited The Gambia every year for the past 12 years and this hotel is the best. The staff are so friendly and helpful and have a great sense of fun. The boys at the bar were superb and never kept you waiting. Rooms were to a good standard for a 3 star hotel and were cleaned daily. The big plus was the food it was good quality and with a great selection of different meals. We usually go outside hotel to eat 3 or 4 times when we are staying All inclusive but the food was so good we only went out once. Nice pool with easy access to the beach. Big thanks to Richard on the Animation team, Osman at the bar, Mousa at reception and of course the Chefs. I will have to now go on a diet. We will back next year Kevin and Sue Ingram
