Great small hotel around a km from the centre of Barahona. A special mention to the fantastic owners who kindly offered us a full refund on a late cancellation even though they were not obliged to. Recommended.

Great place to stay & staff are very pleasant & the breakfast is good!!

This hotel does not give any kind of service. We needed an extra towel and an extra sheet because we had 2 kids. Both requests were denied. The water for the shower was cold. The "fresh" breakfast that we had to wait to get at 8:30am was room temperature coffee and ham and cheese sandwiches. Only good things about this place was that it was updated and the AC worked. I would never stay here again.

This place was amazing, breakfast was included & delicious. The staff was very friendly & welcoming would definitely book with them again..

As we first drove to Hotel Yamir, our driver was concerned that it was in an unsafe (viz poor) area. But be assured that this hotel is absolutely safe, and the people living nearby very friendly … as are the hotel staff. The hotel is absolutely spotless, one of those places where you feel you could eat your dinner off the shiny tiled floors. Our room wasn’t huge, but perfectly adequate … no outside space or pool, but what do you expect for the price, eh? To be honest, we were out and about all day exploring the coast road to the south, so had swum more than enough in gorgeous natural pools and the azure blue sea. Breakfast wasn’t great … but do ask for things you might like. They had papaya when we were there and that was lovely. No restaurant on site, but a nearby place delivers. Almost nothing for vegetarians and what there was, was awful. Might be worth buying dinner, bread and cheese or something, rather than getting the delivery. There is a little communal sitting out area at the back, but we were happy sitting in the breakfast area. One great plus for the hotel, is that they have free fresh water, hot and cold. So you can make your own hot drinks, and refill your water bottles without adding to the DR’s appalling plastic problem. The hotel owner is German, and has some English, as does his wife. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.

Location is no good, room is too small

The property localization is very bad and not us area sure, there are is bad area for touring persons unsafe

This is probably the best hotel so close to the center of Barahona. The ladies at the property provide exceptional service, friendly and they made us breakfast even after the breakfast hours. The rooms are clean and the property is well maintained. It was five minutes away from a multiple food truck restaurant called Foodtopia, with delicious food. It was located within a neighborhood but it never felt unsafe. I will absolutely come back, and recommend to anyone
