Stayed with friends just for one night Rooms spacious and clean Breakfast was really good with a wide selection. This is the 8th time I have stayed here in over 15 years and I’m always impressed. I would recommend this hotel

Great location, set below the mountains, just off the main streets and a very short walk to cafe's/restaurants. The rooms are quite small for a Classic Superior 3P which for 3 people is a stretch and actually a lounge chair and 2 single beds pushed togehter, not a double, making the seam a bit of a pain to manage. The tub/shower divider doesn't prevent water from spraying on the floor, causing a mess each time it is used and a waste of towels. The Staff were friendly enough and helpful but clearly restricted by the owner, who herself is clearly rude, aggressive and inexperienced as a hotel operator and very defensive and in denial of issues in the hotel, speficially in the room I booked as there was hair in bathroom, on the shower/tub walls, on the floor and between the shower/tun and vanity. When noted to the Front Desk Staff, they offered a smaller room and then a dark shaded room on the lower level which was of no interest instead of properly cleaning the room and offering some form of basic compensation - maybe breakfast and a drink at the bar. The Spa is well done and the lounge and breakfast areas are bright and spacious. A little people skills adjustments and more attention to detail would go a long way. The location is a mecca for alpine enthusiasts - being for cycling or hiking.

We had decided to make Barcelonnette the main part of our Alpine France / Northern Italy road trip and booked 6 nights at Hotel Spa Azteca. The hotel location was excellent with free car parking on site and many opportunities to sample a variety of cuisine in the local restaurants. We had the Mexican Room and would book it again without hesitation - good size, excellent cleanliness and room facilities. Breakfasts were also very good with ample choice (cook your own bolied eggs) and choice of inside or outside eating. All the staff were friendly, helpful and enthusiastic. They provided us with birthday cake, champagne and a personal message on my wife's birthday which we hadn't even mentioned or requested ourselves - a lovely touch and great attention to detail.

This is a nice hotel just on the edge of the main part of the town. You can easily get to many shops and restaurants in a 1 or 2 minute walk. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast is great! They have a locked room for bicycle storage and Barcelonnette is conveniently located for many good cols in the area.

Excellent and friendly service, good breakfast on a lovely garden terrace, clean and comfortable rooms. Just a few steps from the town centre but quiet and peaceful. Also very pet friendly! Recommended.

We arrived here on short notice after car trouble. The hotel is beautiful but, more importantly, the staff has been extraordinary. They have been helping us book cars and try to get back to Paris on short notice. They have truly treated us like family. We have stayed in 5 star hotels all over the world and the service here has been better than all of those.

The service here was unmatched. We have traveled to 5 star hotels across the world, and the service here exceeded all of those. Amazing service that is unimaginable. On top of the amazing service, a clean and cute hotel with delicious breakfast.

The hotel is very nicely located in a garden, with reasonably sized rooms that have a balcony. It is, however seriously understaffed. A single person handling breakfast buffet and morning checkout does not work for a hotel of this size. The person who checked me in did not recognize next morning at breakfast and asked my room number. This should not happen in this price class. Neither shoul the coffee machine at breakfast use milk powder for cafe au lait in this price class. In this price class, I would also have expected that the hotel can offer dinner. I had a very nice and good value dinner at hotel/restaurant Du Cheval Blanc 200 meters away, which also has very friendly staff.

Beautiful hotel, great service, amazing location and very clean! They had delicious breakfast and the young lady at the front desk was very helpful. We were very impressed and we will be sure to recommend the hotel.
