The Cook Hotel and Convention Center is an excellent way to spend a couple of days, long weekends, or event on LSU Campus. They’re the ‘only’ hotel on campus, but well worth it if you can manage to secure a reservation…….LSU Football weekends, forget about it, NOT even if you’re from The White House! Otherwise, great spacious clean rooms, equipped with kitchenettes, living room, spacious bathrooms and bedrooms. Breakfasts are more than adequate, and LSU Students who work there are great to deal with and friendly. The Alumni Hotel, and gift shop are a real treat. So don’t give it a second thought. Noting special about breakfast. Just a standard hotel buffet breakfast. That is the reason for 4 stars. Other than breakfast, 5 stars.

Walking distance to student union, and the sports complexes. Although was a hefty 2 mile walk to Tiger Park!

This is the place to stay for any LSU activities - convenient and really nice - great breakfast included!

I appreciated the friendliness of the front desk staff during check-in and upon checkout. However, I visited the gift shop on my way out and the lady at the counter never once got off her personal phone call to acknowledge me as a customer. Off there was something I wanted to buy, I don’t think I would have got that reason. Besides that, I was very impressed with the hotel and staff.

Staff could not have been nicer and the breakfast and paper every morning were an excellent perk

This hotel is a great value for the price. The location is nice and easy to get to. The rooms were clean and the property is nicely kept and inviting. I would definitely stay here again.

Traffic around this hotel is a nightmare. Bathroom had tiles falling off . Staff seemed indifferent but this is the norm now, i guess.

Very convenient being on the LSU campus. The university shuttle/bus stops at the hotel and some of the main campus buildings. The hotel is also convenient walking to certain buildings. Complementary breakfast was very good with a wide variety of breakfast options We were there for freshman acceptance day, and enjoyed running into other LSU alumni who were very nice and encouraging.
