Melia Caribe Beach Resort

Will come back again some day! Loved it!

The resort is absolutely beautiful, and the weather was perfect. The staff, including but not limited to Anny Liriano, were absolutely amazing. If we wanted it, Anny made it happen. Thank you very much Melia!

This property is amazing, my concierge Kilvania was SUPERB!!!! My driver Luis was phenomenal. Beach was beautiful, but get their early. Entertainment was ok, restaurants food was delicious, buffet food was decents.

I was so sorry to leave. Everybody was amazing. My room was huge. From the moment I checked in at Front Desk with Sandra to the time I checked out, was amazing. Sandra even remembered my name when I checked out. Everybody was gracious, and their smiles were welcoming. The party at night was incredible. They had a great DJ and staff to dance with.

We liked that we were given a host by ******* named kilvania. She did attempt to make our stay nice but we had a terrible experience. I took my girlfriend here for her 48th birthday. The buffet food was awful in taste and the service was inadequate. Sometimes waiting over a half hour to be seated. Impossible to get a pool chair. When arriving to get our towels with the towel cards that were given to us., we were given towels on day 1 but they took our towel cards and we had to fight every day with different personnel to get new towels. It was very frustrating especially since the staff doesn’t speak English. The property is very big and they utilize a golf cart train to shuttle their guests around the property. So you have to wait for either random golf carts or the train to head to the lobby or the pool or to dinner. A few times we had to jump in with landscaping personnel after waiting so long. They have one beer on tap (presidents) all Other beers (corona) you must pay for. If you want to eat good food. (Japanese hibachi you must pay for it) the buffets were really that bad. The staff was very rude and no one spoke English with the exception of check in staff at the front desk. I ordered a steak for $50 at one restaurant. It was filled w fat and I did not eat. After bringing this to the attention of the front desk. They were adamant and said an investigation had to be done. They were told I ate it. It was not worth the argument. The list goes on n o

The property itself was beautiful. We upgraded initially to level guests, but did not find that we benefited from it. We did not receive concierge service on the beach and service overall was subpar. The worst part was the food. I attempted to get dinner reservations before our stay and I was told that we had to wait until check in. When I checked in their was no reservations available, other than a restaurant that cost extra. We did go to the Japanese restaurant with the extra fee, only for our food to be over cooked and inedible. We were forced to eat at buffets, which were not very good, and my husband ended up getting sick at the end of the trip.

The place was excellent! It was our honeymoon and Anny, our hostess, even had a cake and wine left for us in our room!

This is one of the cheapest resort i ever ben the food is bad and the same kind every single day the staff are not enough dinner time one person to serve 150 people no sevice on the beach you have to walk to get your drink the run out of stuff early in the buffet get empty they dont fill up the plate after one hour the resterant reservation the waiter dosent speak english or frensh to explain what the dish have they have red snaper on the menu when you order it they give you salomon and they cheap with the food ommount breakfast you wait in line to get your eggs only one person on the grill serving 200-300 people stuf has no experiance i ask him to add passion fruit for me with my smoothy he pood the all passion fruit in the mixer i dont knw what to say this is my 17 time in dominican never have that kind of resort

The reservations and service were very slow and had many issues but the stay was very beautiful and the food was good.
