reception was average service. The day after arriving we had some lunch in the afternoon just after one hour I started having nausea, I started having vomiting and diarrhea that evening I could not do anything stay in bed until next day afternoon, I call pharmacy and got some antibiotics for bacteria infection it was terrible I believe it was from salad or fruits they did not wash good.next day Saturday afternoon my wife had same symptoms vomiting and diarrhea. I was better and shared my medication over all spend $70 for medications. Other issues is employees don’t say hey or olla or have a nice day in Spanish or English they are rude and constantly arguing with each other.. Next door guest was very loud and arguing with female at 2:00 AM which I reported next day to reception. I never had these experiences in Mexico which I had several trips and been in Rio palace Cancun very polite very good service overall will not visit punts Cana again. Two star is for beach and hotel outdoor. I would suggest management have a boot camp training for employees if in general wish to stay in this industry another suggestion stay away from salad and fresh fruit there is high chances you will get sick. Vey bad !!

I was there multiple times with my family. The best of the best resort. Amazing restaurants and buffet options,fresh food,great atmosphere, outrageous service AAA

The entire resort is in dire need of a major facelift and upgrades in the rooms! There were insects in and around the sink daily. Only 1 towel was replaced daily and the mini bar wasn’t restocked.

Overbooked the hotel, had no room for us, toilets broke, and staff were rude, made unwanted advances on our young female group. Would not recommend!

This resort is very nice. The grounds are beautiful with lots of coconut trees. The pool areas are pretty and clean. Easy access to the beach! The beach on the property is amazing!!! The dining options are somewhat limited. No quick option on site like a pizza or burger place. Sports bar dining is a joke. The steakhouse was very good!!! The buffet is your best option. Good food on the buffet! Excellent breakfast! Room service options are super limited and disappointing. Rooms were nice and quiet, but they are a little outdated. It’s being renovated this year! Great service and super friendly staff!!! They provide water bottles anytime you ask. We really enjoyed our stay!!

I had such a great time on the property. The staff was awesome and the excursions were entertaining. I would definitely recommend this to friends and family.

The RIU should invest in a total revamp of the property. Every light plate was loose or off, all drains don't, ceiling fan was a risky proposition, shower head fell off. 5th RIU staff in the Caribbean, by far the worst facility.

The construction around the hotel and the room I have was to close of the construction way to noisy

I booked for three days and had to leave the next day because the treatment from the staff in general was terrible. Customer service is non-existent in this hotel, from the front desk to the waiters. Nobody cares if you are right or wrong. When we said we were leaving early they didn't even ask us why. We told them it was because we had received bad service and they never asked us what had happened to us or with whom or where. The employees in front of the customers behaved as if they were not there and spoke and did inappropriate things. Very bad experience
