ノボテル バイユー(Novotel Bayeux)

We would have stayed longer however the hotel is closed on weekends during the winter season. So we had a mon-thurs visit a week before christmas. Upon arrival we were greeted with a friendly host who presented our baby with a Novotel teddy for Christmas which was lovely. Once checked in, we viewed our room which was clean and presentable it had a separate toliet to the bathroom which was good. It had a large screen TV and a memory foam bed...soo comfy. We had the buffet breakfast which had pastries, local breads and meats, pancakes, cereals etc. If you wanted an omlette, just ask a member of staff. We also had dinner there which they do meal deals or indivdual dishes - I had salmon salad and chips, and its a simular price if you ate out -21€ The staff spoke english and were pleased to help with our baby. Its located a 10 minute direct walk from the large supermarket (open till 8pm) and 10-15min direct walk from bayeux town. centre-limited parking in bayeux so best to walk.

Bathroom commode area extremely small; bathroom tub difficult to get into; shower difficult to turn on; breakfast was excellent; dinner was good; front desk & bar service was spotty, had to wait long time to get service, front desk under staffed.

This was a great hotel that met our needs to be close to the Normandy Beaches. Keep in mind that there are no restaurants really close by- it's at least several or more blocks to find restaurants. They do serve some meals at the hotel, but we were out of luck when we arrived on a Sunday afternoon.

A modern hotel that is easy to drive to and with plenty of parking. It is outside the main historic area but well within walking distance if you're in reasonable shape. It is very close to the war museum (check out the tanks out front!) and cemetery, an easy walk. Our room was very comfortable. The concierge Lorent deserves special mention because of his warm welcome and friendly detailed assistance with the sites and restaurants around the town.

Night time front desk person had no idea where a pharmacy or an ERoom was which I thought was ridiculous. Was having an allergic reaction and this guy was no help at all. Just sat there and told us to google it. Awful employee

Excellent hotel in wonderful well maintained grounds in great position. Great staff, clean comfortable room. Would stay again.

DO NOT BOOK HERE IS THE SUMMER! Room was unbearable hot and miserable, making sleep virtually impossible.

Really bad and boring restaurant. Sterile and empty. Expensive meny. Bad and expensive breakfast.
