We got into Beijing quite late and I was able to contact the Hotel and let them know my approximate arrival time, and they had a person greet us and take us to our rooms.
The Manager made us breakfast for all of our days there and the breakfasts were the same style of breakfast you would expect in a normal Chinese Family home! Our Manager was very welcoming and also we were able to get transport to Universal Studios which was not too far away, They even offered to pick us up, as long as we notified them by a certain time, otherwise it was relatively easy to get a DiDi (e-Hailing) and cheap too!
We basically used the Hotel as our base and only used it to sleep, there was an onsite washing machine that you are free to use and you can hang your clothes to dry on the drying rack that they have there.
If I were to come back to Beijing for Universal, I would stay there again and they made me feel like family. Make sure you have a translation service on your device. Also if you like to order delivery for food, make sure you get a Chinese mobile number otherwise it will not allow you to verify and then you can't order food to be delivered, such as McDonald's or KFC and setup Alipay or WeChat/Wexin so that you can always get around and also DiDi!
