What a wonderful getaway! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm, friendly, and incredibly inviting. Even though we only stayed for two nights, it honestly felt like we had enjoyed a full week’s holiday. The staff were exceptionally helpful throughout our stay, and it was clear that guest experience is a top priority. Stuart, the General Manager, was visible, attentive, and genuinely involved in ensuring everyone was comfortable and well looked after. The food was absolutely lovely — we can highly recommend both the mussels and the steak! The spa was another highlight, offering amazing treatments, excellent service, and very reasonable pricing. This is truly the perfect place to relax, unwind, and completely switch off. We would love to return again, especially with our children. We’ve previously visited another one of the group’s properties, Midlands Saddle and Trout, which we also loved and hope to visit again — but Kloppenheim Country Estate is honestly on another level. Thank you for spoiling us with such a fantastic weekend away!

I only came here for a lunch at The Triple Twigs, but I enjoyed my time there. Very nice venue with amazing views and nice walks on the property. Plenty of activities when you stay overnight. The service was very friendly and professional. I went there for the Sunday lunch. It was very quiet, but I've been accommodated very nicely. The food was OK, using local products.

Our 1st visit to Kloppenheim Estate. What a beautiful, scenic setting. Hidden from the main N4. Rooms and bathroom are luxurious. The fireplace a bonus. Thank you for the free wood. Food was delicious. Barman friendly and welcoming. Enjoyed meeting Stompie the resident cat too. Abundant birdlife.

Of the 13 times we have been here over the years we cannot get enough. The staff ..rooms..resort..food. Everything is amazing.. we live the quietness..and the quality of the rooms and food. We come back every year and every year we love it more.

A neatly tucked away place of peace. The beautiful colours of autumn trees, views of sunrise, nearby calm water, and early morning chirping of birds satisfied the tranquility we were looking for. Rooms with a fireplace to set the tone for a perfect stay for two. Service excellence is a priority and could be seen in the friendliness and helpfulness of staff members all round. If you are with a large crowd and need a break, there's also a library onsite - good reading. This place is great value for money!

It has a beautiful ambience, the rooms are clean with classic feel. The staff is very friendly and is the best place to un-wind and relax. Its also the best place for lovers of nature. The food has home feel. The only let down was the bath tap. It was difficult to close or open as a result the water was dripping.

We spent one short night at the Gooderson Kloppenheim hotel on the way to the Kruger and immediately regretted not having booked for longer! The staff welcomed our group of 30 so warmly and gave us the best service! The location was beautiful and the rooms were very comfortable and cozy! There are heated blankets on the beds in case it’s a colder night. We have two guests with food allergies and the chef made sure to prepare extra meals for the guests. Thank you to the Gooderson Kloppenheim Hotel Team, the first impression of South Africa for the Austrians set a very high bar!

This hotel is a hidden gem. It’s so beautiful when you arrive here for your first night in SA. We decided to travel immediately towards Kruger but dont like long drives. The place looks amazing. Like an old American country house. You can het fairly prices massages, there is a jacuzzi at the spa and one at the pool with an amazing view. Ask for the freshly made chips when you are enjoying your wine. Book this !

A lovely country hotel with friendly and accommodating staff. The room was comfortable with everything we needed. Restaurant food was excellent. Lovely getaway just a short drive from Johannesburg for a weekend or on route to another destination. The road in was not great, but expected due to the recent excessive rains.
