リバーハウス オン ザ デシューツ(Riverhouse on the Deschutes)

Staff is rude and disrespectful. Especially Teyler on the night shift. I missed my flight because they couldn’t complete a simple wake-up call. I’ll never stay at this hotel again.

Lots of construction and improvements going on- otherwise it’s a perfect place. Love the bridge over the river and all the staff were great. Glad we chose to eat at their restaurant , Currents- was delicious!

Nice but older property. Bathtub had mixing valve problems cause extremely hot or cold water only.

The amenities were very good and the rooms face the river with a balcony. The part we did not like was the king bed was too soft and maybe even worn out which kept us from getting a good nights sleep. Not sure if all the rooms have this same mattress problem but we will not stay their again not knowing if the bed was upgraded or not.

It was Christmas Eve & should have been festive but the atmosphere was completely absent. The desk agent had zero personality along w/ the bartenders. The lights were on bright in the bar at 9 pm no ambiance music when Xmas music would have been appreciated. Other than the gingerbread table area the bar was so vacant of any Xmas decor. It’s a tradition of ours to go to hotels during the holiday to see their beautiful holiday decor and yours was such a let down, especially when we chose yours to spend the night on Christmas Eve.

Area that we stayed was under construction. Close to the main road with lots of noise. No microwave in the room, community microwave’s didn’t work. Restaurant food was good but overpriced and understaffed. Stayed at the River House several times before but never in this wing that felt like an afterthought. Won’t stay again.

We live right down the street and come here for a staycation with our kids every now and then, because they have such fun events. It’s a beautiful property, clean rooms with a fireplace and the relaxing sound of the river that you can see right off the rooms balcony. This December we did breakfast with the Grinch in their huge, gorgeous restaurant and our children loved it. My only bit of feedback would be they need a bathroom closer to the indoor pool, especially for guests whose hotel is across the river in the dead of winter. Makes me wonder where all the pee is going when a guest doesn’t want to make the trek back like we had to?

Great night, was there for company party, room was decent. Only thing that was a negative was Netflix app always seems to be down when its offered.

I had a river view room, peaceful listening to the river flow outside your room, could walk to the restaurant and sit by the fire
