During my recent stay at Rocco Forte Hotel de Rome in Berlin, I was immersed in a world of elegance, luxury, and impeccable service. Eines der besten Hotels in Berlin. Sehr entspannter Checkin bei dem man gleich ein Gläschen Champagner gereicht bekommt. Die Lage ist mitten im Zentrum im historischen Ostteil der Stadt. Die Zimmer sind sehr groß, auch in der Standard Ausführung. Insgesamt ein sehr zu empfehlendes Hotel.

Leider war der Pool geschlossen und für die Sauna musste man sich anmelden und konnte die Saunabereich dann gerade einmal 1 Stunde benutzen. Die Öffnungszeiten der Sauna von 14:00 bis 20:00 an den Wochenenden ist für ein solches Hotel der Luxusklasse absolut inakzeptabel. Wir waren sehr verärgert darüber. Bei der Buchung haben wir keinerlei Informationen darüber erhalten, dass die Zeiten im Spa so reglementiert sind und er Poolbereich gänzlich geschlossen ist. Auf Nachfrage an der Rezeption erhielten wir die Info, dass der Pool aufgrund von Energiesparmaßnahmen geschlossen ist und außerdem fehlte es zusätzlich auch noch am Personal. Wir sind der Meinung, dass dann die Übernachtungspreise entsprechend angepasst werden müssen, wenn ein erheblicher Teil der Serviceleistungen nicht erbracht werden kann. Wir konnten unseren Aufenthalt nicht so genießen, wie wir es vorhatten, leider!

We had a great time staying at Hotel De Rome for a very special birthday celebration. We were greeted on arrival with some champagne and absolutely loved our suite! The bed was so comfortable and we had a great view from our window of the cathedral. The staff on reception, in the spa and the restaurant were all super nice. We were very grateful to borrow the fantastic Rocco Forte umbrellas when it was raining from the front of house team! We really enjoyed breakfast and dinner in the beautiful Chiara restaurant-the spaghetti ice cream was a real treat! And we loved the orange juice machine for fresh orange in the morning. We were really lucky that we stayed during Berlin’s ‘Festival of Lights’- seeing the city lit up from the roof terrace was amazing. David on the concierge team was really helpful and knowledgeable about the area and made lots of great suggestions. As the hotel is so central it made for a great base for our trip to Berlin. There are so many other things to say about the hotel like the flowers and the fantastic pianist in bar that I can’t fit it all into the reviews word limit-Thank you for our stay :)

overall we enjoyed this hotel - staff were very pleasant; excellent rooftop bar; great location; clean and sizeable rooms; and comfortable beds. However, for two of our four nights the AC did not work properly leading to completely sleepless nights. They did move us to a new room for the last night which helped. Upon checking out, we had expected some form of compensation for our troubles, however, none was forthcoming (note, the hotel did offer us a complimentary drink the night before however the timing was not right for us).

I had a great experience at the hotel. Such great service, all staff were amazing, lounge, breakfast. Everywhere. Big shout out to Lidia, Chiara, Marija, Roksolana, Yannis for their great customer service. Made me feel at home. Also housekeeper Dinh Hucouy who was really helpful and did a great job as well. I hope I've spelt their names correctly. Would come back again and hopefully have a great experience again. Thanks

This hotel was recently sold to a larger hotel group The service is beyond terrible and the staff are rude and mean spirited It’s an us against them mentality My daughters euros were stolen by the cleaning crew The hotel did not believe me abs was hostile and arrogant from the desk clerks up to the senior manager I read through the trip advisor reviews and saw a pattern of complaints about theft by housekeeping The hotel knows about it and does not care in the least Go somewhere else where you are at least welcomed with at least a tiny bit of caring
