The good:
Service - Staff are generally polite. They smile and greet when they see you. It makes you feel safe and welcomed.
Activities - Quite a variety of activities such as water sports, kayaking, swimming pool, educational sea conservation efforts, fishing, standing paddling.
Crowd - Lesser on weekdays. Beach is relatively quiet and empty which is ideal if you’re looking to avoid weekend crowds.
The not-so-good and areas of improvement:
Location - Not accessible. Once you’re in the resort, you’re kinda stuck in the area with no nearby eateries or shopping area except within the resort which has overpriced restaurants food. A simple meal can easily cost you at least SGD30 per pax (exclude govt taxes). There is no in-room dining service option. You have to pay at least SGD35 to hire a private driver to get you out of the resort to nearby town area.
Breakfast - Selection is quite alright but quality is average. As the cafeteria is open-air area together with the lobby, it is quite disturbing to see flies & birds flying around. Especially when birds land on the buffet food and eat it right in front of your eyes. Imagine those were the food you just took to eat!
Room - Generally clean. The only downside was that my faulty door wasn’t able to auto lock when I left the room. Fortunately the staff agreed to change a new room for us as we didn’t feel secured if our door can’t lock when we are away. In the new room, the heater didn’t work for one of the nights. We called the staff who sent someone to fix it but we had to wait for one hour to get hot water.
