ホテル リバティー リゾート(Hotel Liberty Resort)

This is a case of you pay for what you get, but for the same price, we stayed in much nicer hotels and guest houses in Tunisia throughout our trip. The positives; the hotel is affordable and in a decent location, within walking distance of the beach, the pool is also great and the food was good. The downsides; The hotel is very outdated and aged, the bedding cushions, bed spreads, napkins and table cloths were all stained and worn (the cotton bed sheets were fine however). Some of our bathroom towels were not washed and cleaned at all, our hand towel still had the previous guests make up wiped on it. The aircon in our room didn't work, so we had to sleep with the balcony sliding doors open, which made for a nosey nights sleep. The reception staff and some of the other staff were professional and friendly, but in the main, the waiters and kitchen staff treated you like they were doing you a favour, some didn't even bother to help when asked - like for a menu or a drink for example. Some of the attitudes I saw towards other guests, was very poor. When we paid for our dinner, our 35 Tunisian Denar meal, suddenly became 45, clearly the rest was going to be pocketed so we refused to pay the extra fee that came out of no where. To be brutally honest, that was the worst customer service we had experienced in a hotel to date. Overall the guests at the hotel we fine but there were some very drunk guests, literally falling over and stumbling everywhere, with one girl was so drunk, she didn't even realize her boob was hanging out of her bikini. We were so happy to get out of there when we checked out.. The worst hotel we had stayed in in Tunisia.

everyone is welcoming and friendly,room is always very clean,the staff are very nice,night entertainment is good gets everyone involved,food has a variety,always things to do in the hotel in the day overall a great hotel and great atmosphere

I highly recommend this hotel. Clean, very nice staff and great animators. They tried very hard to make sure the guests had a good time. In the evening they put on a great dance show, made people dance and encouraged them to have fun. We stayed for two weeks and were not bored. The food is also delicious.

Fantastic holiday, staff were amazing, too many too mention but special thanks to Rio and all the animation team, bar staff and restaurant staff. Rooms were good and cleaned daily. Food was awesome. Breakfast has omlettes donuts and crepes made to order. Everyone made us feel welcome and we will be back xxxxx

I loved this hotel and I’m sure I will come back. It’s not the newest one but if you are looking for place with great people, it’s the best choice. Animators are the best. Always smiling, talking and making you feel good. In addition to that they seem to really enjoy it and it’s not common. They can really dance like pros so you won’t be bored here. Special thanks to Dido and Sam ❤️ they make this place really magical.

Very nice, enthusiastic team of animators, lots of enterteinment in the hotel and really good service in general. Clean rooms, soft beds, strong drinks, beautiful beach, not crowded pool. Food could be better but it was ok. I enjoyed my stay very much

The staff at this hotel are excellent they cannot do enough for you make the hotel well worth going too. Pool is great, food is good, drinks are good beer is not watered down , recommend this hotel as a perfect destination to spend your holidays , I Love Tunisia and Liberty Resort also

Tunisia 🇹🇳 is a good destination to spend a holiday , I Love Liberty Resort as I love my second home , I feel so comfortable there , the food is delicious with a tasty drinks also ' I like the Animation team the most they made my holiday they was lovely guys I adore them ' I will come back there soon cuz I miss the atmosphere ❤️

Overall Experience: We had a decent week-long stay at The Liberty Resort. It wasn’t excellent but offered good value for the price, surpassing our expectations. We sought a cheap, all-inclusive relaxing holiday with alcohol, food, and sunshine, and the resort mostly delivered, though there were some areas needing improvement and safety concerns. Room and Facilities: The hotel was clean, and the rooms were basic but adequate. While not a 4-star experience, it was satisfactory given the location and economy. We faced a few inconveniences such as limited electrical sockets, a detached shower head, a key/lock issue, and a bathroom bulb that needed replacement. These 2 latter issues were resolved quickly after reporting them to reception. There was a hazardous bolt/door stopper sticking out of the bathroom floor, which did cause a few injuries. The rooms were cleaned regularly, but towels and toilet paper were not always replenished. The beds were comfortable, and we didn’t experience many insects, likely because we kept the balcony door shut. Note: there were only two sockets in the entire room (and one needed for fridge), so bring extensions if needed. Amenities and Activities: The pool was nice, clean, and accessible, with plenty of sunbeds available and sunbed toppers provided for extra comfort. Various activities like archery, bowls, darts, water polo, and aerobics were available and enjoyable. The music was good, and the animation team made an effort to include and entertain guests. Be cautious about purchasing spa treatments or day trips, as experiences and prices can vary. Location and Excursions: The hotel is very close to the beach, but there’s little else around. Taxis to and from Sousse medina were overpriced, and we faced constant harassment in the market (not the hotel's fault). The quad bikes were excellent, and the boat trip was enjoyable. We preferred to relax at the hotel rather than explore further, so we can’t comment on other excursions. Food and Drink: The food had a lot of variety, including authentic Tunisian dishes, though options for kids or fussy eaters were limited. There were no English menus, which was often confusing. Breakfast was not great if you expect a full English, but the fresh pancakes, omelettes and croissants made up for it. The lunch and dinner buffets always included fresh salad and pasta, but chips were not always available, and the pizza was unusual. The alcohol options were not known brands, and the all-inclusive bar shut at 11 PM, which felt restrictive. The Zanzibar bar, open until 2 AM, did not stock the drinks on the menu. You might want to buy drinks at duty-free to bring for your stay. There was no BBQ or à la carte meal as advertised by loveholiday, but we did visit early in the season. Ask for bottled water in the restaurant if you want it for your room to avoid buying it at the shop. The waiters were very attentive with drinks around the pool during the day.
