We stayed here for my husbands birthday as we have family from this area and we travelled from Edinburgh to celebrate with them hotel very old fashioned but that is the whole appeal of the manor, very helpful friendly polite staff couldn't of asked for any more from them , fantastic food rooms were great only problem for us was room was quite cold we had the heating on constant but as an old building it can't be helped 5 🌟 all round will definitely stay here again

Beautiful grounds , when we arrived we were welcomed with coffee and pastries. The reception area was cosy and the receptionist booked us in . The changing rooms were spotlessly clean. The pool area was not too busy, with pjs Ty if sitting and beds. There was a sauna , steam room, jacuzzi and refreshing pool. I’ve been to a number of spas but this one is by far the best one. I booked R and R which included 50 min treatment and two course meal . The treatments were outstanding, including facial and massage, including legs, feet, back neck and scalp. The food was delicious, a great choice on the menu the service was excellent. I will be returning for a over night stay snd more treatments

Lovely hotel set in beautiful grounds. From the moment we arrived the service was excellent. Our room was available on arrival, no waiting around for it and so much comfort offered in the spacious rooms too. We didn’t get a chance to use the facilities as we got carried away chatting and enjoying our surroundings. The restaurant was clean and inviting and the food from breakfast to dinner was so tasteful. Great trip overall.

A group of four of us visited this spa and we all had a great day. Not limited you can use facilities from 9am-9pm. The hotel looks lovely and we have all agreed to visit again and perhaps stay over next time. Our offer included 2 treatments and lunch and for what we paid it was a great deal.

What a beautiful place, we will definitely be returning. Love how tasteful the old building has been renovated keeping all the original features. Our room was stunning and had a lovely relaxing day in the spa before a ritual massage off the girls the next morning. I had grace for my massage and facial and my boyfriend had Nicole, their hands are like magic we both came out feeling refreshed it was exactly what we needed and we left with knowledge of the products they had used what we liked. Evening food and breakfast was excellent, complimentary Prosecco and ringtons tea box in the room were a lovely touch. Now to the staff members….. couldn’t have done more for us, all were lovely and chatty and the hotel receptionist we had (unfortunately forgot her name) was the star of the show, full of information, happy, chatty and overall so welcoming and exactly what you would want in a receptionist. Easy free parking and WiFi. Overall an excellent experience that will will defo be repeating again soon

Since the renovation, this hotel is just lovely. We stayed in one of the deluxe manor rooms and it was massive, with a big comfortable bed and pillows. Lush bathroom with amazing, powerful shower to boot. We sparred all afternoon and slept like a log. The breakfast was very tasty. The only thing that was a bit weird, the bar man (we had been chatting to earlier in the evening) knocked on our door very late on, when hubby answered he just said he was sorry and he'd got the wrong room! So the staff were very friendly! Apart from that, great stay. We've booked again. x

Great afternoon tea with my sister while visiting family .We were both really well looked after and had great experience will use again when back up from Sheffield .My sister is looking at wedding venues and the knights hall looks the perfect place

Such comfortable beds, the cleanest rooms I’ve ever stayed in. The value for money is outstanding and the staff couldn’t be friendlier or more helpful. I will most definitely be returning

The rooms were spacious and clean, and the staff were exceptionally fantastic As someone who is fasting during the month of Ramadan, the reception and restaurant team ensured that my meal was ready at a specific time and made me feel at ease. I marked the room slightly less purely based on how creaky the floor boards are, especially when you're on the lower floor. More of a structural issue as opposed to the warm and welcoming staff.
