I stayed in the family room and was very impressed with the high standards throughout. Would highly recommend 👌 You can see that the owners take pride in the establishment and it really shows, all the staff are extremely pleasant and cannot do enough to make the stay comfortable. The restaurant area is clean/modern/well kept and the homemade pizza was spot on!!!! 10/10 all round.

My shower did not work, it was scorching hot
I mentioned this to the lady working and they could not fix the issue. They know the issue is ongoing as they left a a4 sign piece of paper in room mentioning not to fiddle with shower as its tempermental.

Room was big and comfortable beds. Great facilities and plenty of towels etc. Food was very nice in the bar/restaurant and very welcoming from staff. Would recommend!

Pleasant overall stay. Room had all the usual facilities one would expect, all in working order. Restaurant serves the usual pub fayre for a reasonable price & to a fair standard. Bed was quiet hard, as were the pillows, but this is only a personal preference. Breakfast was of a good choice & variety, although a bit pricey at £10 per head. It should be noted that access to the bedrooms was by staircase only, so would be not vaiable for everybody. Overall a good overnight stay.

Such a beautifully clean, friendly, warm, hotel. The staff were so so friendly, room was bright and fresh, shower was amazing. Breakfast was excellent too We would highly recommend the saxon to anyone staying In or around the area 10/10

Lovely room. No stone had been left unturned re items provided in the rooms including cotton wool, ear sticks, eye and ear pads, robes even! Also breakfast was excellent. I need a feather pillow but maybe there were some of I'd asked!
