Only booked for pool Pool not working no roof Waited two hours to check in room was absolutely terrible cold and very very dirty from coffee stains dirty glasses beds lights never worked doors didn’t close very loud an full of drunken people police attempted on stay to take quests away

A hidden gem of a hotel, great swimming pool and tram stop at its door. This also a important historic hotel, it needs restoration work, but that only going to happen when people recognize it importance. The hotel built like theatre scenery, emulating a castle.

The staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough for you, but the hotel was filthy, and stunk of damp. Each area had a different kind of smell. The first room I was given, was meant to be upgraded, as I was at a large weekend event. The wet room I was given, had years of grime on the tiles. The carpet was filthy. I had paid for a double and had got a twin. I said I wouldn’t stay in that one. The next one was better, but had paint peeling off the wall. The bathroom, you had to shuffle to the side of the toilet, to use the sink and shower. I had to make do. I was accosted by a man demanding I pay for him on my card, and he was going to give me cash, because he had no ID. None of the security came to help. They eventually did remove him. There was an incident which I have decided not to report to the police, of a man with strange behaviour towards me. The food was often cold but no-one was taking theirs back, so I didn’t. The ceiling collapsed by the bar, and it was lucky, in a busy hotel that no-one was underneath it. The rooms were cold, and although I got a heater, many didn’t. The rumour was that the head office turned it off as it was warm, but it wasn’t warm, it was cold. I stayed one day with trip.com, the next 4 days/3 nights was with the people running the weekend.

Hotel is aged but it is not a bad hotel for the price you get what you pay for 66 pound for a family room for the night isn’t bad at all I didn’t eat here just drunk and went for a Sauna stream and swim location is a bit out of the way but if you time the trams isn’t a issue Ubers are a bit slow getting to you But that’s about it I would definitely come again no problems

Typical Britannia Hotel . No investment for years resulting in run down hotel . How is that firm is still allowed to remain operating… . Grim and depressing place overall . Fire Alarm went off 5 times late at night … last one around 2 am in the morning . Although it’s a shame it was a false alarm as the place needs burning to the ground and starting again …. No WiFi … it’s 2024 not 1960 although it’s probably but been refurbished since then . Considered sleeping in the car … probably would have had a better nights sleep .

The room itself was nice, but a massive skylight on the ceiling ensures your wake up time is 6AM (in summer) and the constant slamming of doors from outside in the hall led to me leaving my friend in it and booking another hotel in the centre of Blackpool (Pck Thas Hotel) which while considerably smaller and lower budget had blackout curtains and was much quieter. If you get offered room 80 in the Chester wing, refuse and request a different room. I won’t be booking Norbreck Castle Hotel again.

What's not to like for only £41. Friendly staff, clean room and a bottomless morning fry-up get a thumbs up from me.

We were here for the dance competition firstly the first point of contact which was reception came across rude and ill mannered. After queueing for 35 minutes for check in we were told our room was not ready and was told to come back and just ask for the key at the corner of the desk. I came back four times and waited for 15 minutes each time before I did lose my temper for someone to come and give me key for my room which took the man literally 1 minute out of his time. Their attitude that I viewed as they spoke to customers was disgusting and vile and I am not sure why you would want that as first point of contact. Bar and waiting in staff amazing and polite shame they were let down by the reception staff. Rooms were outdated mouldy and damp but from reviews I was expecting worse.

Everything went we'll at first, during checking time, instead of dobule room, we were checked into queen beadroom but after speaking with front desk lady it was sorted out.

Me and my partner really enjoyed this stay, room was small but cosy, just didn't realise how far it was from the centre but such beautiful views.
