YHA ブラクソール - ホステル(YHA Blaxhall - Hostel)

Great trip in private room over bank holiday weekend. Good value for money. Very friendly and helpful volunteer, Maggie; excellent location (if you have a car), close to Snape Maltings, Aldeburgh, Orford; clean facilities including well equipped self catering kitchen (with cafetieres), lounge and seating areas inside and out; the local pub is 5 mins walk away; we had good chats with other guests, great walks in a beautiful part of the world. Came here for with my local walking group for a long weekend away. The rooms and beds were very comfortable and the staff were really helpful and would highly recommend this to family and friends :-)

A simple but pleasant Youth Hostel in the lovely Suffolk Countryside. When we stayed it was self catering only but during Late July and August it offers a breakfast service. The rooms are basic but the beds were comfortable (if a little bit low off the floor) Showers were fine but I couldn't find any height adjus**ent of the shower head. The Lounge has plenty of seating and a TV along with a WiFi connection. You can also relax outside at one of the picnic benches in the garden or in a small seating area near the main entrance. Access to the hostel during the evening is via a 5 digit code and private rooms have door locks. The self catering kitchen was well set up with 2 fridges and plenty of cutlery and plates, mugs etc. Janet (Volunteer Warden) was very helpful and friendly during our stay and advised us that the local Pub was playing Live Music that evening which we all attended - Thanks Janet There is a bus shelter over the road from the hostel which allows you to borrow/swap books - nice little facility offered by the village. Plenty of available parking at the hostel and a generally relaxing vibe to be had at this lovely countryside location. Overall a Very Good Simple Hostel ideally suited to Walkers, Cyclists and people who just want to enjoy a relaxing pace of life (if only for a day or two)

Stayed here for one night with a group of friends - all women of a certain age - and it was great. We were welcomed by a lovely member of staff, given 2 x 6 bed rooms, right opposite the showers and a toilet. Rooms were clean and the bedding was really nice. We were recommended a place for dinner, which was great, and settled into the lovely lounge when we returned to play our customary games. Use the kitchen for tea making the next morning which was also nice and clean. It was our second visit to Blaxhall, and we'll definitely be back! Thank you. X

Clean and secure room, beautiful rural location, excellent breakfast. Price, especially with YHA membership (£20 a year) second to none. Nice lounge with TV, and information about the local area. Bring your own towel to save £2! Dan

We wanted somewhere to stay after visiting the nearby National Trust site of Sutton Hoo. Blaxhall is a tiny village without even a local grocery store but the YHA delivers as all of the other properties do: clean, convenient, good value, free parking, a helpful host and other guests and families who are usually very friendly. We love staying at these hostels as screen time goes down, the kids play board games, meet other children and explore the local area. Thanks!

Cosy, small hostel with friendly but not intrusive staff. We ate breakfast and it was lovely and had great night’s sleep for two nights. Ate evening meals out as they were not available at the hostel. All clean and really beautiful surroundings. Would definitely stay again. Even better if the sink in the bedroom had a plug.

Great value for money. Secure private en-suite room. Free parking and WiFi. Very friendly and helpful team. Cooked breakfast to purchase if required. Outside seating area and plenty of communal space inside. Could do with a small table and chair in room and a squeegee for shower.

Simple hostel with spacious clean rooms and great hospitality. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and accommodating when our children wanted breakfast almost a full hour before we had booked. Pleasant stay and some good walking and cycling routes and sights nearby.
