I really like the hotel, you can relax there and enjoy your vacation. The food is great

The room smelt Like a sewer when air conditioning was On. Need More reclining suntanning beds. We could never find a spot. People would come out a 6am and then never come back for 4-5 hours later. Ceaser in premiere Lounge was amazing!! Also Carlo and Sarah I. The restaurants were so great. Accommodatting!! Carlo and ceaser made out trip!!

The overall area is beautiful! The hotel has a great location. However, the resort itself was lacking in many areas compared to other hotels and other barcelos. For example getting water bottles was difficult and very little staff. They didnt allow you to take food to pool area or serve food in pool and our entire party got food poisoning. 11 of us got major food poisonong.

Arrived to our room with just about 40 mins to spare on the linch buffet. After traveling all day we dropped our bags and went straight to eat. Upon arrival there were some complimentary desserts, a bottle of tequila and 2 shot glasses. When we left the room i got a creepy vibe as the maintenance man, bell hop, and a female housekeeper were loitering outside of our room. After a quick lunch we returned to find that someone had entered our room and stolen the complimentary bottle of tequila. I was instantly freaked out. We called down to the front desk and explained what happened and they said they wpuld semd someone up. 20-30 mins later no one had arrived. During this time i noticed the metal latch was broken off the door. This made me evem more uncomfortable as i would not be able to lock the door at night. We went to the front desk. They acted like they had no idea what we were talking about. We re explained and they did move our room and were really nice about it. Ither things to consider about the property. Its the farthest point away from the airport about an hour drive. No sidewalks to stroll down its very secluded from actual puerto vallarta. No beach service. Staff was super friendly, the place was clean, beautiful beach, nice pool, including an adults only pool.

Food was excellent! Service was exceptional! If you dont plan on leaving the resort much.. this place is for you! Its a bit of an inconvenience in location as its quite off the path to shops etc. Its quite the cab ride to get to locations. The beach is small in comparison to other resorts ive been to, but the seclusion is romantic amd the pools are beautiful. I wouldnt hesitate to go back.

Pros- great staff- special shout out to Pearla and Cesar in The premium lounge, Ana in the Italian restaurant and Linda, Sarahi and Oscar at the Buffet. - Food overall was very good - the whole property was kept super clean - lots of excursions available - Doctors on site Cons- the absolute worst thing at this hotel was the lack Of Internet service. - proximity to the the city, about an hour by taxi from the airport and 30 to 40 minutes to downtown.

The property was beautiful and the staff was very friendly and hard working. My family had a great vacation.

The view is beautiful. It is quiet, no blasting music. Wonderful rooms. The pool was warm. The only complaint is the food is either cold or only lukewarm.

I had an excellent stay the Barceló. The staff were extremely friendly and the Beach was awesome! The a la carte restaurants were really good and I really enjoyed the location of the resort (more in the jungle). The only downside was that the wifi was extremely slow to non existent. But u wasn’t there to be on the internet so I didn’t really care much.
