We were positively surprised by this hotel. The breakfast buffet is small, but better than few 4 stars I have been at. The personal was extremely friendly. Making breakfast was really pleasing. The reception was very friendly, they gave us a useful tip to avoid a big group between 8 and 9 at breakfast. We booked for 4, we ate in 5, no problem. Ibis style is now in our preferred list.

Ibis hbf hotel has excellent location. Just around the corner of the main entrance of Bochum station (Hbf). Great choice for train travelers. Outside looks like a worn out bit but in fact it looks good inside and most importantly it is clean. It is probably recently renovated since all in the room looked very decent and not used for much of the time. Bathroom is tiny but clean and in good condition. Breakfast is included and it is surprisingly fresh ( they have pancake machine , my son loved it). The staff are polite and helpful. Our room was located just across the main Bochum station-we weren’t bothered by the traffic nor noise. Likely the windows had good insulation( obviously). The rate per night was very OK , especially taking into consideration the fact that Bochum has higher rates than similar comparable cities in the region. I would surely come back.

Die vom Hotel erstellten Bilder entsprechen nicht wirklich der Realität, wir waren zum 3. Mal da und hatten noch nie ein Zimmer, das wirklich so aussah. Die Lage am Hauptbahnhof ist sehr zentral, der Busbahnhof liegt ebenfalls direkt vor dem Hotel. Das zieht natürlich ein entsprechendes Klientel an...wenn es draußen kalt ist, verziehen sich die Gestalten relativ bald wieder, aber je wärmer es wird, desto "heißer" wird die Stimmung vor dem Fenster. Man hat die Wahl - Bahnschienen (nach hinten raus) oder Busbahnhof (vorne raus). Frühstücken geht nicht "einfach so", man muss eine Frühstückszeit bei der Anmeldung fest reservieren, da der Frühstücksraum sehr klein ist. Die Zimmer sind einfach eingerichtet, aber sauber und völlig in Ordnung. Das Frühstück bietet ein großes Angebot, es gibt sogar eine Pancake-Maschine.

Von außen eher grenzwertig, aber innen okay Freundliches Personal und leckeres Frühstück. Zimmer einfach aber ausreichend und sauber. Was will man mehr. Preis aus meiner Sicht zu hoch. Sehr laut am Abend, da mein Zimmer direkt auf den Busbahnhof ging

Hotel liegt zentral unweit des Bermuda Dreiecks. Auf der Webseite macht alles einen guten Eindruck. Der Zahn der Zeit hat schon sichtbar am Hotel genagt. Die Zimmer sind sauber aber letztlich spartanisch ausgestattet. Keine Steckdosen am Bett. Umfeld des Hotels ist teils vermüllt. Das Frühstück ist sehr übersichtlich. Das notwendigste ist vorhanden. Unter dem Begriff Styles habe ich mir mehr vorgestellt.

Zentrale Lage am Bahnhof ist super, nettes Personal wie immer, Frühstück und Frühstücksraum auch typischer Ibis Standard. Badezimmer ebenso. Soweit so gut. Aber was zur Abwertung führt sind zwei Aspekte. Das Zimmer hat überhaupt nix stylisches. Dafür suche ich mir ja Ibis Styles aus, aber schlimmer ist die Bausubstanz. Es sei ein älteres Gebäude unter Denkmalschutz, aber es wirkt schmuddelig, ungepflegt. Der Fahrstuhl... Das ist nicht meine Erwartung an Ibis Styles.
