ザ ケンダル(The Kendall)

Hadn't stayed at The Kendall for several years, so was looking forward to this trip. This is an older, historic property so I knew what to expect. It was nice to see that the bar and restaurant were open. The renovation was done really well. The outdoor patio offered a very nice view. The room, however, was a disappointment. The gap around the door barely allowed the lock bolt to catch. It also allowed an awful lot of light in the room. The bed or the room tilted so the foot end of the bed was higher than the head end. The mattress, and I use the term loosely, felt as old as I am. Reminded me of the feather beds at my grandma's hose as it caused you to roll to the middle of the bed. The shower in the old claw foot tub sprayed water over the shower curtain onto a bookshelf that was hanging on the wall and soaked the few items we had placed there. Thankfully, the supply of towels in the room was enough to clean up the water on the floor. The large water bug didn't seem to mind the added moisture. I really like this motel. I hope the owners will take the time to notice the little things that make staying at an older property enjoyable.

An excellent style of old meets modern. The bed was comfortable. The facility was clean, and the staff was friendly. It was close to everything you want to do in downtown Boerne. We will definitely be staying in the future!

I booked the sewing room so excited to see the antique sewing machine. Totally bummed to see it wasn’t there. Room is very antique like, great atmosphere, not one bad thing to say except the bed was like a big marshmallow. Too soft for my husband and I. Other than that, loved every second there. Clean and has a classy bar and restaurant next door.

Such an interesting hotel. We stayed in "Cibilo House 1" cabin. Small little living room with bedroom, king size bed. Was lovely. December is a great month to go, not crowded. Staff is super friendly and helpful.

The Kendall is a great place to stay in the middle of Boerne. The room was perfect for two and well appointed. Parking was easy to find and the town is walkable.

It was my first time here, and even though it was just for ONE night, it was absolutely amazing. The property itself is beautiful. It gave me hallmark Christmas movie vibes. Very picturesque. Everything was super clean. We stayed in the Enchanted Cabin and it was really cute. I bathed and napped in the tub. (Which I’ve never done) my time there was very relaxing and WILL be going again. I honestly cannot wait for it.

I loved everything about The Kendall. The grounds were immaculate. The staff was so pleasant and our room was clean and pristine. The whole place was filled with so much charm. Will definitely stay there again.

We did not stay in room. Floor was dirty, carpets dirty, hair in sink, ac filter full of dirt, heater/ac vents damaged and closed up, bed sheets looked used and worn thin. My wife and my 39th Ann8versary and she refused to sleep thrre, so we told front desk and returned keys. Very costly to us. We got another hotel.
