Great central location. Nice spacious rooms with a huge balcony. Bathrooms were spacious. Comfortable beds Staff were friendly and most spoke english although for some it was challenging, which is understandable. Did not try the restaurant and also got welcome drinks but the drinks were restricted to the restaurant. Would be nice to have those drinks in the roof top bar Only issue we had was the shower made loud noise when turned on had to tweak it stop making noise Also the deadbolt on the room door did not close. We used the chain instead. We had a late flight and carol helped us out with a very late check out.. Thank you, definitely recommend this place for location, great views and friendly staff. Was a treat staying here
The food is really bad, cold breakfast, porridge choice of food, for a coffee country, very bad, you better save the money including breakfast and go outside to find a restaurant. Rooms below 6th floor need upgrades, first room with clogged toilet and sink. Bogota have way better local boutique hotels to choose from.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the W Bogota for several reasons. First, the staff is extremely friendly, professional, and genuine about making your stay enjoyable. I had the pleasure of meeting Lidia and Oscar during my stay. They both made me feel like I was family and offered suggestions for places to eat and provided a thorough review of the hotel and theme of El Dorado. Second, there are beautiful art pieces and installations throughout the hotel. I loved the pieces that represented the story of El Dorado found in the lobby, the room, the lounge, and the pool. Lastly, the food is delicious at Jairo and the coffee bar is a treat to have in the morning. The neighborhood is really nice with a variety of shops and restaurants to enjoy while staying at the W. When in Bogota, you must stay at the W Bogota.
I have seen quite a lot over the past decades, but this must be the worst hotel I have stayed at and this is primarily due to its management. But first: a simple hotel in very good location, but with thin walls and in an increasingly deteriorating state. Staff is generally very helpful and nice. Breakfast offering very basic! Main problem: management wants to recover Covid losses by charging damages to guests without proof that they have been caused by them. In our case, the cover glass for the desk had a small piece missing at the edge and we were told that we had caused this and had to pay for it! Obviously, we did not check the room for such minor damages when checking in (at the end who treats a hotel room like a used car and checks for scratches in the whole room?). When my wife talked to the responsible manager by phone (who refused to talk to us in person), he mentioned directly that the hotel had to recover Covid losses as reason for why we were charged for this 'damage'. When my wife insisted that we were not responsible for the 'damage', he blackmailed us, saying that the staff would then have to cover the cost of a new glass. Certainly the most unpleasant experience I have ever had in any hotel in the world.
SSoulfulExplorerThe Habitel Hotel is conveniently situated close to the airport, with a reliable shuttle service that adds to its appeal. The hotel comprises two sections, ‘Prime’ and ‘Select,’ with the ‘Prime’ offering slightly superior accommodations. My stay was generally satisfactory; however, the A/C in my room was broken, making it uncomfortably cold. After multiple visits to reception, the staff kindly provided a heater. This issue should ideally be addressed before guest check-ins.
It appears the hotel is undergoing construction on the 1st floor, which was where my room was located, resulting in some noise. Despite these inconveniences, the delicious breakfast made up for everything! I highly recommend the Caldo de Costilla. Based on the food alone, I would definitely consider staying here again.
MMileKruminaI stayed at this hotel with my mom. It’s really close to the airport and a few blocks from “El campin stadium” transmilenio station. Also a shopping mall is a few meters away. I stayed on a Wednesday so there wasn’t much music but I can see how it can be quite loud during the weekends as there are many clubs near by. The breakfast was good and the room was okay. I must say that this hotel feels more like a motel or bed and breakfast as it is extremely basic. No decorations or any living areas that are inviting so it’s good just for a night or two but not for a holiday. There isn’t any elevator and no men that can carry your luggage so my mom carried my suitcase up to the third floor and the receptionist and I carried the big luggage up to the room. The water pressure is great and the hotel has hot water. Also there is satellite tv with options in English and Spanish. I have no idea if the hotel staff speaks English or not as I speak spanish. Overall it was good as the area is safe and close to most places I wanted to go like Monserrate.
Spacious room, comfortable bed, very clean! Good breakfast and very attentive staff. It’s super well located! Great value for money! Would stay again! The hotel allows, if available, to pay by late checkout!
