The whole ethos of the hotel is really miserable. The pool, one of the main draws for us, was freezing. You have to bring your towel from the room, which means that after a swim you only have hand towels to wash. The biggest issue we had was with the booking and the unhelpfulness of the staff. We had amended our dates a couple of times and unknown to me, I had a second booking that I hadn’t cancelled. So I was checking out on the 26th Dec when I was supposed to be checking in on the second booking. Nobody told me about it until two days later when I was slapped with over €600 no show fee for the full booking and they would not budge on it. We also had to argue at check out for over €150 euro of drinks that had been paid four by card and the money checked and gone from the account, but they still wouldn’t believe us. Ultimately it was their mistake but it took a lot of arguments! Check your bill!!!
