ホテル エリザベス(Hotel Elisabeth)

I was served by a guy at the front desk / reception and he was friendly and willing to help which made the stay pleasant. Location is about 5-10mins walk to the city centre and there is a convenience store a few minutes away from the hotel. Clean and spacious room and the toilet - there was air-conditioning which is a plus point especially during the summer season. I would pick this hotel again when I am back at Mechelen and Brussels in the future.

Really friendly hotel, great room, especially as there were three of us - there was plenty of space for the extra bed, helpful staff, nice breakfast. Car Parking was useful and the hotel is nice and close to the centre of the town. Recommended.

The hotel is simply breathtaking. Personnel is super friendly and breakfast amazing (although I would add the typical Belgian squared yellow cream filled chocolate breakfast cookies). Fantastic swimming pool which was open on special request till midnight or early morning 7am even.

Very friendly and helpful staff, especially the man on reception in the evenings. I think it’s one of the best places I’ve stayed in terms of friendly, professional staff. I really liked my room, which was quiet, and I enjoyed the warm swimming pool. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Lots of noise and hardly any sleep. Reception did nothing at night. Had taken a more expensive room for more peace and comfort, in contrast we got a lot of noise and hardly any rest. Very disappointing! The pillows were very bad. Also a lot of noise from the street. We will never come back.

The whole ethos of the hotel is really miserable. The pool, one of the main draws for us, was freezing. You have to bring your towel from the room, which means that after a swim you only have hand towels to wash. The biggest issue we had was with the booking and the unhelpfulness of the staff. We had amended our dates a couple of times and unknown to me, I had a second booking that I hadn’t cancelled. So I was checking out on the 26th Dec when I was supposed to be checking in on the second booking. Nobody told me about it until two days later when I was slapped with over €600 no show fee for the full booking and they would not budge on it. We also had to argue at check out for over €150 euro of drinks that had been paid four by card and the money checked and gone from the account, but they still wouldn’t believe us. Ultimately it was their mistake but it took a lot of arguments! Check your bill!!!

Very nice hotel perfectly situated near the city center. We had a spacious room at the front street side. It was a bit noisy but not a problem for us. The staff at the reception was very kind. Parking lot below the hotel was a plus. We will sure come back next time when we visit Mechelen again.

Lovely short stay in Mechelen. Elisabeth is very stylish comfortable hotel convenient for the town centre. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Unfortunately there is no restaurant but breakfast is good and there is a bar. Underground car parking available.

Clean and nice room/bathroom, friendly staff and good location. Price-quality was ok. Its worth the money, nothing more and nothing less. The only thing that was annoying was the noise of the airco (heat).
