Everything was excelent! The only problem was very bad weather and no one umbrella on the reception. Very nice in lobby

We had arrived from Tours after a lovely train ride. We were warmly greeted at the door ( as we couldn’t seem to open it at first when buzzed in, lol!). There was a very friendly and helpful young man who was there. He assured us our suitcases would be brought up and he told us of a few places we could choose to enjoy a bite and apéros. We also appreciated the extra special attention and helpfulness of a young lady named Abigale; she truly was such a delight and helped make our stay both enjoyable and most memorable! The hotel itself was beautiful and tastefully decorated. Our room was adorable and quite clean. We couldn’t ask for a better experience! Many thanks from the Tackaberry’s! Bisou a tous!

Very central and yet still so quiet and comfortable. A beautiful building with comfortable rooms and lovely common areas.

We had a lovely stay at the Villa Victor Louis. Helene was extremely helpful right from the moment we stepped through the door, as were the two young men on reception. We felt well taken care of. The hotel itself is in a quiet residential street just a short walk away from the main attractions of Bordeaux. The area has lots of little shops and is full of character. Our room was nicely decorated at well appointed with everything we needed for a three night stay, and looked out onto a pretty courtyard garden.

We loved our stay at Villa Victor Louis. Slightly off the beaten track but no more than 20 minutes away to anything we wanted to do in Bordeaux. It was our peaceful haven at the end of each day. Our room was spacious and breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. However; what made our trip was Helene and her excellent staff who ensured we had a really relaxed and enjoyable stay

Villa Victor Louis is a hidden gem tucked away in a quiet side street but only 5minutes from the centre and easily walkable to all the key sites and shopping streets. The whole building has been thoughtfully decorated, and the rooms are individually styled - ours had a wonderful marble bathroom! You can read in the drawing rooms and take breakfast in the Winter Garden and curl up with a book outside in the courtyard garden at the back. All of the staff are charming, and eager to offer help and support when you might need it, whether its directions and travel options through recommendations on bars etc to try out Bordeaux' most famous product! What would be even better would be to include instructions on how to use the airconditioning in the guest guide - as ours wouldnt work and no amount of Googling turned up a comprehensible manual for how to turn it on/reset/override or whatever actually needed doing to it!

It is such a beautiful place!! Very French 🥖 The decor is so nice and the staff very professional as well. Each bedroom is unique, in a very beautiful way and the place is also very quiet. Great for a weekend for work or for a couple. The little garden makes all the difference.

20 minutes wait before seeing any staff around, who eventually showed up. We were in the attic room, looking good. Breakfast next morning, was very light and not to the standard of the price given. Staff is not professional, at all, however, very friendly and smiling. Price is overated for the service level, but the hotel is charming, like a home, 10mn from allee de tourny, and quiet.

There were bed bugs and the management did nothing (not even an apology) after we messaged me them about it. This is NOT a hotel, just a guest house so by French laws, they do not need to abide by certain hospitality regulations. The breakfast was abysmal and not worth it! There are SOOOOO many better places to stay in Bordeaux. The location is not bad and the staff was nice.
