メゾン マネージュ(Maison Manege Bordeaux Centre)

Very clean. Steep, winding staircases and no elevator. Not recommended for heavy bags. Need to know this before you go. Quaint place with old charm and new decor. Not in tourist part or more affluent part of city.

A beautiful building, very easy to use, and provided a very traditional feel to our stay in Bordeaux. Also availed of the breakfast which was kindly presented each morning, and allowing us to see the full beauty of the building

The room we stayed in was the Chinese Ink Suite. It was good to have flexibility and the ability to access a kitchen. However, we unfortunately found ants in one of the rooms and my daughter was bitten a few times. Happy to supply a video of needed.

Fabulous Place. Great location & good staff. The rooms are lovely & good size. The beds comfortable. The bathroom is well equipped and good size. The rooms and the apar**ent as a whole is very tastefully designed. It is 10 minutes from city centre and heart of all happening things.

I did not get to stay there and cn only comment on their booking process I tried to book online and it didn't seem to work so I had the concierge at my hotel in Avignon call to book my room. I stop d there as they talked and we Were assured it was booked - we even picked the room type. I had a couple of odd emails then which may have been follow ups to my online attempts. But I got concerned and had my next hotel a few days later call to confirm my booking. They did not have my reservation knew nothing about it and were booked. Very disappointing and upsetting as I was traveling alone and had only a couple of days before I was to arrive ....

Although La Maison Manage is in a good location we found the system of having no reception with all communications sent via e mail and the access code only sent around 30 minutes before check in, a very impersonal one. The building itself is impressive, though slightly lacking any a**osphere, is set on a quiet side road but if you struggle with steps/stairs then this is not the place for you. Our room was on the top floor (not a problem) and first impressions were good, it was very pleasant. Sadly, when we returned that evening the smell of drains in the room was overpowering. As there was no reception and it was late we had to spend a very unpleasant night. We complained by phone the next morning and also send two e mails. We eventually got a response which said no one had mentioned a problem before but they offered us a discount/breakfast for a future stay however I don't think we will be returning as the experience was too impersonal and when you are on your holiday the last thing you want are numerous e mails of how to check in etc. etc. and we can still smell those drains! We didn't have breakfast so cannot comment on the standard.

Maison Manege is a completely renovated guest house in 2020. Located in the center of Bordeaux, within easy reach of public transport and within walking distance of the nearby Meriadec Business and Shopping Center.  See .... …. The place has a very nice modern style and most importantly is cozy; …. On the ground floor there are common rooms for all guests, as is typical for this type of accommodation - a large living room with a large TV, espresso machine, which is a compliment to guests. Again on the ground floor is the kitchen, extremely well equipped, toilet, dining room where breakfast is served, for those who wished to have, with a large table, a small yard with a table and four chairs to it. All rooms are comfortable, with nice design, paintings, interesting lanterns, very nice! .......... …. If you are wondering how to recognize the entrance to the house, as there is no inscription, look for number 27 and a large bright blue door. Feel …. …. We did not meet with the hosts, because the access is through a code on the front door, and the key is received from a box, which is also opened with a code sent in advance by e-mail. … .Check-in is very late - only at 4 pm, and check-out at 10 am. Also, there is no possibility to store luggage if these hours are not convenient for you, because there is no staff to do it. We met only one maid, and we only saw her when she came to clean; …. I hasten to point out that the rooms are cleaned every day, most unexpectedly for me for a guest house; …. Because access is complicated, before you arrive they send you 2 files with detailed information on how to use the equipment, basic rules and access codes. .......... Hear …. …. It is quiet in suite Encre de Chine apar**ent, but all its windows face the courtyard instead of the street and this is a serious factor in the silence; …. Music apps can be opened on the large TV in the living room, so you can have a nice relax with friends, with jazz and good wine. ....... Smell .... …. The espresso is offered as a compliment for the guests and is in capsules, respectively the qualities are guaranteed according to the expectations created on their packaging; …. Soaps and shower gels, with a light and pleasant aroma, imported from Singapore, which impressed me. Taste .... …. We hadn't ordered breakfast because we wanted to experiment with the boulangeries and bistros around. .......... I would be happy to stay again at the Maison de Manege, if I have a trip to Bordeaux, I recommend it strongly, we really liked it! And read the login instructions carefully. We stayed in the Mandalay Suite. The room was spotless & beautiful. The whole building has been renovated with eye for detail, comfort, and coziness. Great, firm bed. The location is not too far away from the center of Bordeaux, in a calm and silent neighborhood. Hospitality was great, we immediately felt welcome thanks to our enthusiastic hosts. Got some great recommendations for brunch & dinner. If we decide to visit Bordeaux again (and we probably will), I wouldn't hesitate a moment to come back here.

Je ne connaissais pas cet établissement et j’en ai été ravie. Accueil très sympathique, très propre et chaleureux. L’emplacement est parfait car calme mais proche du centre. Bref, j’ai beaucoup aimé car c’est un excellent compromis entre hôtel et chambre d’hôte . J’y reviendrai. Pourvu que cela ne change pas !
