overall a great hotel. great location. rooms are nice. some food and vending onsite, but not overwhelming. There are plenty of great restaurants within walking distance, so not a big deal.

We booked last-minute after our flight was cancelled and only stayed for a few hours, but the staff was very friendly and room was extremely comfortable and spacious. Would stay again and hopefully longer next time!

In room comfort good - in hotel restaurant is notable that would only satisfy someone who was a quick coffee and assorted pastriey. Not really suited for family sit down breakfast with a menu to order from.

I paid the full price on ********** for a one-night stay. A couple days later I see that the hotel itself took another $253.45 out of my bank account with another $153.45 charge pending. No explanation whatsoever was given for the charges. I didn't use any of the hotel services and didn't have a car to park. I just checked in at 3:30 PM and checked out at 9:30 AM the next morning. Submitting a complaint on their website is a labyrinthine mess and I have no hope they'll get back to me any time soon. (********** isn't much better. No option to contact the hotel or dispute a charge through the website? Really?). The hotel itself was fine. Hard to believe this is a $300/night hotel given how barebones most of the amenities are, but the location is convenient and I don't have any complaints about the room.

Clean comfortable room. Great location. But the THINNEST walls I’ve ever had in a hotel room. I could hear anything and everything the neighbors did and said.

The front desk staff was superb and the location was ideal in taking various subway lines to different areas in Boston. The area around the hotel provided excellent selection and variety of restaurants, shopping, and just across the street a grocery store with a STARBUCKS, however, TATTE BAKERY AND CAFE has the best coffee in Boston - HONEY HALAVA LATTE!!!

Great location for a train arrival or using public transport! Back Bay in itself was advertised as ”the” location to be in, but we actually found it to be quite downtownish and quiet. Luckily good transportation is close and it’s convenient to move around Boston. Hotel itself is good. Nothing to complain or to brag about. Beds are nice and rooms are clean and updated.

This hotel is kept very clean and had new finishes. I loved that it was in an 1800's restored apartment building, but overall I would rate it as just a little above average for a couple of comfort issues. Our KING room was large enough to have a comfy oversized chair & a clothes closet in addition to the bed and a separate bath. The mattress was comfortable - on the softer side because it was a pillow top. The bedcovers were not cozy, however - 2 sheets layered w/ a thin white cotton coverlet. Given that it was unseasonably cold when we were in Boston for Memorial weekend (48 degrees during our stay), we would have liked better. Also, we could not control the temp in our room via the thermostat & get it to a comfortable level. The temp got down as low as 62 degrees in our room one evening. The staff was VERY accommodating in assisting us, however. The desk somehow managed to get the room to warm up the first evening when we returned for the night (some kind of system override at the desk?). On the 2nd evening they promptly sent someone up to our room with a space heater - in matter of only 3 or 4 minutes from the time our call was placed. The staff on duty during our stay deserves good marks. The hotel is in a good location for shopping and restaurants, but parking is very expensive - $44 a day at the lot across from the hotel. Would recommend for clean, new finishes and location, but otherwise pretty basic when I compare it to other "boutique" hotels we've stayed in.
